My partner booked this holiday at the last minute, as a surprise! This meant rooms in this gorgeous hotel had already been mostly booked. Because we knew we wanted to stay at Mominoki in particular (he'd been previously and wanted to share it with me),...More
I spent an enjoyable few days here in the closing weeks of the ski season. Village was very quiet but skiing still OK. The Mominoki as a charming hotel that blends the best features of Western and Japanese hospitality. While my bedroom was on the...More
Staying here on recommendation. Great place! Open fire, soaring ceilings, helpful staff, onsen, ski shop next door, free shuttle bus, rooms ok.

Rick ... no idea. The problem was more the fact that you had a couple hundred people fighting over the limited facilities - a problem exaggerated by the broken machine when we were there in January. Better bet is to go to the coin laundry - located up the road from the train station. More machines, more room -- and like we did, you can anchor your washing around either some dinner or some shopping (supermarket in walking distance + shops like Patagonia). Its a taxi ride to get there and back, but it all works.
