This is a very good ski hotel that is in keeping with mid-range European places in which I've stayed. We came to Nagano from Tokyo, by train and the caught the shuttle bus up the hill - whole trip time = approx 3hrs. I was with a Japanese friend and so do not know how easy the navigation is without... More

This hotel has a good selection of different restaurants, the japanese one has excellent food. Shuttle buses pick you up from right outside to go to all the different ski resorts. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and had no issues with booking things on your behalf and were very friendly. Only downside for our stay was that... More

We had a really nice stay in this hotel. Especially the food and onsens are great! U can use inside and outdoor onsen from 10am to 24pm. The hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is really helpful. The shuttle is next to the hotel so it's easy to get to the downtown or to the slopes. Barbara, Slovenia

Really enjoyed this hotel and the hospitality of the staff. It provided for all our needs. Good breakfast, shuttle bus to and from restaurants in the evening, but most of all a fabulous onsen! As they say when in Rome/Japan do as they do! If you can get past your inhibitions it is an amazing way to learn about why... More

A lovely comfortable place to enjoy our ski holiday. The Onsen was blissful after a day on the mountain, followed closely by happy hour (or vice versa, any way was fine!). Friendly helpful staff, easy transport links and lots of Apres ski options. Thoroughly recommended.

Just recently we stayed at Mominoki Hotel Hakuba, upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely japanese receptionist which made a big difference than the time before when we stayed, she was warm & friendly which we felt so welcomed. Room was on the 3rd floor and was simple, clean, reasonable size for Japan only thing was single beds. Restaurant... More

It ticks all the boxes . 4 star , close to lifts, Ibsen, bars, pubs, ski shop etc . They need to improve the bathroom but the onsen is the better option anyway . Happy hour is good and after hours the vending machine . Family owned and operated , friendly and very helpful staff especially Natsuki . Disco bus... More

Mominoki is excellently located with plenty of on site restaurants and bars. Ski rental at Rhythm ski rental was excellent and adjacent to the hotel. It is a short walk to the lift up Happo One but you can take the bus to the gondola and the other mountains just out front at Rhythm sports. We had poor snow this... More

Although the grounds are beautiful with their multiple fireplaces and great onsen, very lodge like looking, it is screaming for a renovation. I don't think anything has been done since the Olympics, which is not uncommon for hotels in this area. We loved hanging out by the fireplace during happy hour, relaxing in the onsen and the location was very... More

Second visit to Mominoki and still enjoyed it. The whole place is a little 90's style but it's quite quaint. Breakfast caters more to Japanese taste buts you can still find options to suit. The beds are comfy but the room temperature is hard to control. It's either hot or hotter. Something in the rooms sets my allergies off though... More
