We very much enjoyed our stay here and Monica and Keita san looked after us like family. The rooms were fresh and clean and all the staff so friendly. Good location, very helpful staff. We will definitely be back!
We arrived after midnight, tired and grumpy... Not sure they knew what hit them, there were 7 of us and no one could decide on what room they wanted. The owner patiently stood and waited until we eventually agreed. The hotel itself is very clean,...More
We recently stayed at the Yamano hotel for a 6 day skiing/snowboarding holiday. The hosts Keita and Monica welcomed us and immediately organised our ski hire and passes for the next day. Due to limited snow at Happo one Keita was very helpful in advising...More

Situated opposite the 1998 Olympic ski jump, Yamano is certainly in a beautiful and quiet location. Both Keita and Monica are very kind and generous people and welcomed our family with warmth, as if to their own home. Their staff are very friendly, efficient, and...More

Hi there, the nearest slope to kick off your day is about a 10 minute walk. We didn't take our kids with us (5 and 3 also) . If either Monica, Kato or one of the friendly staff can't take you, one of the ski schools will most likely pick you guys up. The staff here go out of their way to make you have the best stay possible. Not to mention the bus that stops near by to take you to whatever mountain you want to ski. We plan on taking our two back to hakuba, and will 100% be staying at Yamano.. Enjoy.
