The sulphur onsen was the best. It may not look as spick and span as just the purely hot water springs as the sulphur has attained the baths considerably.

Very comfy, clean room. Good food in a private dining area. Next door to the Rausu visitors centre and a 15 minute walk to the port. Would stay here again, however there are very choices in quiet Rausu.
The hotel building looks old but it's surprisingly new and comfy inside. I would stay here if I am in the area again.

This isn't this hotel''s websitR but we stayed here and yes we had a non-smoking room. Smoking is rarely seen in Japan anyway so you will almost certainly get a smoke-free room. Hope this reassures you. Mike
