I stayed here with some friends during a motorcycle trip of Japan. We were probably the only westerners staying there at the time and I'm not sure how often non-Japanese people stay here, but we were made to feel more than welcome and enjoyed emerging ourselves into a traditional Japanese Ryokan/Onsen experience. The place was clean, cozy and comfortable. Staff...

Very easy to find as its clearly marked and right on the road, the sat nav on the car got us right there using the phone number. It is on the road so you will hear traffic; this bothered some other reviewers I know but for us it wasn't a problem. Plenty of free parking, so no problems there either.The...

A perfect place to relax. We had a very clean and comfortable Japanese style room. The hotel onsen has an open air area. Located close to the 7 waterfalls. Friendly staff. Did not had the chance to try the restaurant.

The hostel was a little bit hard to find (especially because we're not Japanese speakers) because it's located just in front of the road, in a corner. However once we get there everything was fine. The staff was very nice and friendly and the (little) onsen was really relaxing. The room was clean and the hostel provides everything you need...

It's locating next to the grave and temple, but it won't bother you to enjoy the peaceful view from our only window out from the toilet. Funny ah, actually it's not quiet as our room was just near the road and quite noisy but we can still sleep well because of the very comfortable bedding. All the atmosphere made you...

This hotel is on the mountain, next to a busy through Road. Cars drive up and down the mountain during the day and at night and the engines rev as the car and trucks move up the mountain - which is very noisy. All of the rooms face the road so there is really no quiet place in this hotel...

Stayed here three nights. Not disappointed by a single thing. First impression was that it is what an onsen/ryokan would look like if IKEA made them. This is, coming from a Swede, a compliment. It is straight forward, no fuss, quality interior design. For someone, like me, travelling with little children it is great to not have to worry about...

My wife and me made here the base for a weekend hike along the waterfalls of the Kawatsu Gorge and up to the Amagi Mountain. This is a Japanese style hot spring guesthouse, with a modern touch. The guesthouse is set just next to a temple with a graveyard on the back and its entrance is right through the temple’s...

When I decided to go to Izu Hanto I wanted to book an accommodation with good value but not too basic. So I searched the Japanese youth hostel list and discovered this quite unusual Hostel. I didn't expect it to be special, but for a hostel it really was! First of all it's located right next to a small temple....

For someone really enjoys on-sen holiday in Japan looking for lovely on-sen and good food, it is perhaps a good chance to trying something basic. I joined a Yoga Retreat so did not pick the roykan myself and this definitely would not be my usual preferred choice. Maybe because of the package fee I paid, food for the 3 days...
