We did a whole tour through Uganda. Every location had its special charm. But Apoka was certainly outstanding. The remoteness, the view and the people make it absolutly exceptional. You shouldn't expect to see to many lioness or other cats, but you will see lots of prey. We even saw a Pangolin. Julius our guide saw everything and was always...

You feel very special when you arrive at the lodge. The manager is greeting you personally and welcoming you. You have a dedicated butler during your stay, and all is taken care of. The cottage where you sleep is close to the animals. In the night we could hear the elephants grazing outside. Every day the lunch and dinner were...

I just spent 1 night at Apoka (unfortunately that was all we could afford in terms of time while working in Karamoja region) and we loved it. the place is not cheap, but I feel it is worth every penny I spent. I shared a room with a friend, twin beds, huge and very comfortable. In weeks of traveling up...

Travelling by road from Kampala was very easy, the roads are in excellent condition and being upgraded all the time. The lodge was exceptional, the staff wonderful and the park beautiful with plenty of game. The sheer magic of seeing 3,000 buffalo in one herd was a truly unique experience. This was a true Africa experience with a touch of...

We had a wonderful birthday weekend at Apoka. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and helpful, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable, you only had to think you might like a drink and it appeared. Rooms very comfortable, outside bath bliss when arriving back from a game drive hot and dusty. Lie back and watch the stars come out....

All the cottages in this property are amazing. They are clean, comfortable, spacious and cleverly designed so that each one has total privacy. The verandah has comfortable seating and looks out onto the African savannah, the bathrooms are quirky and interesting, particularly the outside bath which gives you great views of animals and the wildness around you whilst having a...

I did not stay in this hotel but had lunch there on Christmas day. The price for residents is very reasonable. The lunch was excellent. The hotel provides very good views. There is a waterhole built right by the hotel which attracts wildlife that is seen from the hotel restaurant and pool.
