A motorcycle group I'm in recently had a RTE ride ro eat, to this destination. The staff are friendly and the meals are great. Large enough to fill a hungry biker and good priced. Cold drinks and a cool leafy courtyard to dine in overlooking the rolling paddocks and countryside.

Every October when our friends from Meadowflat and my husband and I complete the Alpine Classic Car Rally in Lithgow, we have to head to the historic Tarana Pub for a great meal. This tiny pub is a delight and serves the best fish, chips and salad anywhere we've been. I think it may have begun life as a coach...

Good pub food and friendly efficient staff. New owner and good now but will only get better. Live music (C&W) on Sunday-not my style but appreciated by a goodly lunch crowd. Salads are fresh and tasty and my steak was blue as requested. Quite a feat for most pubs.

Stayed in a Cabin at Tarana Hotel, pretty basic however, everything you need being clean, tidy, tv, shower, kitchen, aircon.,comfortable. The hotel has excellent menu and daily Specials. The Beer Garden is a great place to enjoy yr meal &/or pass away time relaxing absorbing the tranquil country vistas. Staff are fun folk, the owner is a great character. Across...

Have been here several times for lunch, either en route to somewhere else, or just to enjoy the food. Great outdoor eating area with views over the countryside, shaded by ancient wisterias. Very interesting bar area and good wine prices.

Lunch here on a bleak wintry day was really pleasant. There was a blazing fire going and the food was plentiful, hot and tasty. The quaint country pub atmosphere added to the charm, reminiscent of bygone years.

Great people, great atmosphere, locals were friendly. Cabin had everything we needed and was affordable. Nice breakfast pack. Close to fishing. Fantastic lunch in a beautiful setting. Farmers market on Sunday was a great way to see the work from farmers in the area. Tarana is one of the most scenic farmland areas in NSW.

Lovely little pub with a really nice atmosphere and view. The live music was fantastic "Totally Bookfaced" I believe. The food was average on this occasion but in saying that I have previously had a meal here and it was divine. Prices are average for a pub and there is a lovely outside courtyard. If you have kids there is...

Good country pub with large meals and nice large outdoor area to eat meals. They often have band on Sunday's afternoons which ads to the atmosphere. It's also a nice drive along the windy country roads to get here. Good for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
