My family and I went there on the last week of November. The cable car gave us a very good view of Lucerne. There was already snow on the trees and it really was really beginning to be a white Christmas. We thought it was a foggy day at the top but to our surprise, there was a blanket of...

The top of Mount Pilatus is a popular destination for tourists and the place is often crowded during the whole day. The best time on Pilatus begins after the last day visitors return to Kriens or Alpnachstad and the whole area is left to the guests staying overnight. The experience becomes truly memorable when spending the night at the Hotel...

Very nice rooms. Ours was very spacious with a large walk in shower. The view from the two quaint windows was, indeed, breathtaking. The hotel restaurant was like dining in the good old days. The duck was fantastic, twice. Breakfast was a buffet of many delights. What staff we encountered (it was late in the tourist season) were all wonderful....

We stopped in for lunch while on the top of the mountain. Excellent traditional Swiss cuisine. I had the pot roast and mashed potatoes. Yum! The beer is excellent and the views spectacular. Good place to warm up in the winter.

Decided to give myself a treat here after staying in many backpacking locations and it was well worth the money. I opted for the winter special which included the price of the ascent and descent with the cable cars, dinner and breakfast. The room was ready two hours earlier than advised which was fantastic. Had a wonderful big bed with...

Hordes of noisy day-trippers take the scenic cable car (quick) or the steep cogwheel train (slower but a more unusual view) to the top of Mount Pilatus in the summer. But once the day-trippers are gone, the summit’s spectacular scenery in all directions is enjoyed by only the few dozen people who are overnighting in one of the 2 small...

Pilatus Kulm it's not just a hotel...it's the whole experience that you get staying at 2137 m. It's one of the bucket list. Pricey but definietely worth it. If you calculate only going up the mountain it's if I remember 72€ with return, add the dinner & breakfast that are not cheap in Switzerland, then the accommodation itself doesn't look...

My husband and I stayed here for a night. This is the part of our trip that I was really looking forward to. The first time we were here was during our honeymoon, 27 years ago, with a tour group. We didn't stay at the hotel, but the breathtaking views from the top was something that I never forgot. I...

When rating this hotel one probably tends to rate the overall experience of spending one night on the summit of Mount Pilatus which is simply an unique one! The hotel rooms itself are quite basic but offer almost all what you need for a one night stay. Bathroom amenities were delivered swiftly after requesting as well as a pillow from...
