Le Grand Chalet Favre is a beautiful traditional Chalet hotel in the heart of St Luc decorated with exquisite style. Lunch on the terrace in glorious sunshine. Warm goats cheese with pistachio and a salad with clementine marmalade, wonderful flavours with an unsurpassed view ..cannot be bettered.

We stayed at the Hotel let Grand Favre during our Haute Route trek. It was one of our favorite stops. Friendly staff. Charming lounge for relaxation and drinks. Dinner was top notch. The rooms were quite a step above typical Haute Route inns. I would loved to have stayed longer!

We stayed 6 nights in this charming and cosy hotel. Tastefully decorated, with eye for detail. We switched rooms, due to the shortness of the bed for my husband in the first room, so we could test two rooms. Positives: - Stunning views on mountain range from Lodge rooms. - Good restaurant with fabulous terrace (with the same spectacular views...

Reading the existing reviews suggests that I was party to another reviewer. I am entirely happy to reinforce what he said. We had an excellent meal with excellent service here. The surroundings compounded this and there were many touches that were more than reminiscent of Bella Tola and Anne-Francoise. We shall be returning for the sixth consecutive year to the...

We are just back from a 4 night stay at the Grand Chalet Favre. It is outstanding. A real find. Great staff; a warm welcome. Our room comprised the bedroom plus an anti room and shower room. It was not huge, but warm and nicely decorated - lots of wood and soft furnishing. The beds creaked at the slightest movement...

Thanks very much for your review. Nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay. You are right some of the rooms are quite small but we decided not to change too much this original chalet. Hope to be able to see you to test the new chair lift next winter. Claude Buchs

Staying in the sister hotel [Bella Tola] four of us went for dinner here. Delightful friendly staff in traditional alpine setting with traditional alpine food. Excellent quality and quantities, in fact suggest small portions if more than one course! Recommend Mushroom starter, Steak, Rosti and very yummy Griottes in Kirsch

Cosy rooms in a most delightful hotel. Interesting furniture and interior decoration. Helpful, knowledgeable friendly staff with a great warm welcome. One of the best buffet breakfasts; tasty dinner choices. Outdoor terrace when weather permits. Great views over Val d'Anniviers from the back of the hotel. Would return without hesitation.

Recently spent 3 nights at the Chalet Favre while hiking the beautiful Val d'Anniviers. The Chalet Favre may be my idea of the perfect Swiss hotel. Small (by American standards) but completely comfortable and reasonably priced rooms. Some with a deck overlooking the valley. As another reviewer said "spotlessly clean." (It is Switzerland, after all.) Very accommodating multi-lingual staff. Dinner...

Thank you so much for your very kind report. Nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay. You are right, some rooms are quite small but we wanted to keep as it always has been. The Chalet here used to have small rooms. Next time just as us to keep on the side some croissants so that you do not...

I've just returned from a long weekend in St Luc (I live in Geneva). The Val d'Anniviers is my favourite place in the whole of Switzerland, I have nothing but good memories of it, and now I can add another one. This is a wonderful hotel to stay in; quiet, spotlessly clean, and full of character (the lamps in the...
