I stayed here after a wedding at the nearby Easton Grange venue - a 10 minute taxi ride. Was made very welcome despite arriving at lunchtime when the place was busy. It's a lovely old English building, exposed beams and an asymmetry lending itself to appealing nooks and crannies. Parking is at the rear - a bit of a drive-around...

Four of us had a girlie Christmas meal on a Friday in December, we were warned when me made our reservation that our table would only be held open for 15 minutes from our booking time, so we were expecting a very busy and lively restaurant. We were rather surprised when we arrived to be offered a choice of at...

Popped in for a coffee and ended up having lunch instead. Really tasty sweet potato and carrot soup with sandwiches. Tasty sandwiches but only the down side was that the granary bread was from a sliced loaf as opposed to a whole loaf. The cress was missing out of my duck egg and cress sandwich too but that said the...

Six of us were warmly welcomed at reception and shown to our lovely rooms. Plenty of comfy settees and roaring fires for pre-dinner drinks. Our request for the round table at dinner was granted - food was good and service was very attentive and much appreciated. We all slept well and enjoyed a hearty breakfast, again with good service. I'm...

I'm writing this review whilst sat at breakfast. Service is extremely slow. We waited 35mins until I went up to desk to ask if I could order breakfast. Still waiting for it to arrive - 20 mins later! Dinner very average last night. Room over the bar so extremely noisy. TV doesn't work. No shower - broken hose attached to...

Stopped here whilst on a visit to the town. It is a quirky sort of a place, roomy and yet having little alcoves to sit in and relax. A great choice of ales and cider - there were four I could readily have had, Overall a pleasant atmosphere and an enjoyable experience.

My wife and I stayed for two nights to catch up with friends and attend a wedding reception. We had a warm welcome at the hotel and our room was just right. Dinner in the evening with our friends was very enjoyable and the service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast on the Saturday morning was also good and efficient but...

We enjoyed our stay here in Framlingham - the hotel is quirky with sloping floors, uneven ceilings and beams. Our room was very comfortable and full of little touches. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was of good quality and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. It was a shame that breakfast was a little chaotic. We had...

Booked Sunday lunch for seven people, popular place but few staff on waiting duty it was the guests who did most of the waiting today I am afraid. Dinner plates were cold, meal was cool when water as had to wait for the final meal, a risotto to arrive. Few vegetables, the runner beans too Al dente for my fellow...

The bed was so comfortable and felt luxurious. The bathroom was spotless and it even had a machine for making filter coffee in. For anyone who loves staying in beautiful, historic buildings in pretty towns, I can't recommend this enough. Oh yeah- and breakfast was also delicious.
