First of all I have to thank Osman and his wife again for making our stay very special.  We are a German couple and did stay there for 3 nights and 4 days.                                                        Staying at Osman's house means you do have your private room and two shared bathrooms with the family. The shower water is directly coming from the...

If you want the perfect guide - Your search is over! Osman is the leading star! We have had the most exciting and hilarious three days here! Don't miss this experience if you are in Borneo, or Sabah which is the name they prefer in the Malaysian part of Borneo. He showed us fantastic things! For example we saw a...

Osmans Home stay is a good budget option. He is very good in finding animals, and even though it is a budget option he doesn’t take too big groups. He is friendly, but I didn’t appreciate some of his sexist jokes, I made that clear, and then he was grumpy for a day. He might want to consider updating his...

I spent a few days at Osman´s house and highly recommend him and his lovely family; but that is not a place for everybody, if you are looking for comfort and people waiting to please your whims then you should consider a fancy lodge and pay accordingly, actually those lodges are just a few minutes away down and up the...

Wow!!! Just finished 3 incredible days with Osman and his family. Extraordinary! Osman is certainly a character. He has a very generous heart and so wants his guests to get the most from their time on the Kinabatangan river. We were out on the river before and after the other boats were and felt very privileged to have Osman as...

We stayed with Osman and his family for 2nights/3days. First of all let me say, after reading some negative comments here I, as a woman, wasn't sure what to expect. But I am happy we stayed here. I can definitely say that Osman has respect for women and as soon as you hear him talking about his mother or wife...

Osman is quite a character: he talks almost too much and has no filters, however, he´s a really good man, interesting and reeeeally motivated. His family is very nice. His wife, who deals with the reservations by telephone and whatsapp, is also a really good cook. Osman has his own boat and will take you to see animals in the...

I stayed with Osman from the 21st - 23rd of November. Osman is an incredible guide; he has worked with David Attenborough, and his relentless approach meant that were the only tourists to see pygmy elephants that day. His whole family were really hospitable, serving us enormous quantities of lovely food, and Osman went out of his way to help...

If you want to see elephants, this is the place. Of course it is not 100% sure, but Osman has contacts who tells him about their position, so the chances are higher here than other resorts, and we got to be very close to them, which was amazing!! . We also saw an orangutan and several monkeys and hornbills. Osman...
