Our day started early, running around frantically looking for a dive company to dive with and one that had Sipadan permits on (very) short notice due to the late arrival the day before. Billabong came to our rescue with 5/6 of their permits available for 2 days later alarm bells started ringing, "why do they have so many permits? What's...

We booked to stay with billabong scuba for three days and our trip included boat transfer from semporna, accommodation, all meals and six dives (including sipadan permit and three dives at this site!). When we arrived we were greeted by the receptionist and her team who provided us with a drink and a cold towel for refreshment! We were checked...

We read most of the bad reviews for Billabong and had a very different experience than many. We found the divemasters to be excellent, safe, and great at pointing out wildlife. We had no issues with any of the gear, with the exception of a leaking mask, but that's typical. The food at the resort was great, and the rooms...

This is my 3rd time visiting Mabul for diving. Stayed at 3 different place all together. For backpacking standard I would stay it's the good as it has a steady electricity voltage for the frame that they promised. Mind you, having electricity during the afternoon break is a plus point. Toilet were slimy but what I guess it's acceptable as...

I came to Billabong for 5 days by myself to dive at Sipadan. The resort was pretty quiet when I first got there, but the staff made me feel right at home. I hung out and ate and drank with them. They also always included me when playing volleyball with the locals after a day of diving. They were always...

When my boyfriend and I were visitng Borneo, he wanted to dive Sipidan. Many dive shops said that we needed to stay 4-5 nights in order to guarantee Sipidan. Our budget was tight, and the resorts were expensive per night. He found Billabong which only required 2 nights stay and the prices were cheaper. They also would allow me to...

We came here to learn how to dive. What an amazing place for your first dives! We had a good basic room with included meals for a reasonable price. The view and sunset is fantastic! We were very lucky with our dive instructor. Justine is a very good teacher. She was patient with us and took her time to be...

My room is very nice and clean. The view is facing the island. I did my 9 dives there. From Mabul, Kapalai and Sipadan. The people there is very friendly. I love the fact that when I woke up every morning, the view from my window is a beautiful island and the weather is so calming.
