We had just been invited to a wedding in the area and I used the stellar reviews here on TripAdvisor to choose where to stay. Normally we would choose a hotel but there is not much in Axminster that would really qualify as such and this place was close to the venue. I had provisionally booked for 2 nights however... More

A two night stay while my wife had a day at River Cottage. Very convenient for both River Cottage HQ and the Canteen in Axminster. Judy and Hedley are the perfect hosts and welcomed us as old friends on first arrival. All was just as it should be with immaculate rooms,tailor-made breakfasts and freedom to come and go as we... We stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting River Cottage. I can't recommend this b&b highly enough, there is nothing to complain about. The location is great for river cottage, for walking into Axminster or for exploring the local area. The hosts were great and extremely helpful. The breakfast was very high quality with a great choice. The room and... More

My sister and I and our husbands stayed at Highfield House for three nights whilst visiting our grandchildren who live in Axminster. The house is spotlessly clean, warm and extremely comfortable. Judy and Hedley are a lovely couple and made us feel very welcome from the minute we arrived. The breakfasts were delicious and really well presented. We particularly liked... More

My partner and I stayed at Highfield Bed and Breakfast a year ago and I've been meaning to review them ever since because we had such a wonderful time. What stood out about all was the welcoming service, going above and way beyond what was expected and making us feel so at home. As well as that, the breakfasts where... More
