Located 2k from town centre in beautiful countryside. Friendly owners live on site. Cabin modern well built and weatherproof. Comfortable bed. Good quality communal facilities for kitchen showers toilets and laundry. Plenty of space for tents and motorhomes with plug-in power points. Quiet and peaceful except for the occasional train or noisy lorry. Recommended for both short and long stay.

My friend and I were travelling through new zealand. We spent about a week here and had the highlight of our trip. We fished along the river during the day and enjoyed the company of the other travelers at night. Phil was incredibly friendly, even offering to give us a lift into town to go to the shops. The facilities...

We stayed for one night in a campervan. The place is located next to a river. Unfortunately a quite big road is also very near. Kitchen, showers and toilets were clean and it has a very nice playground. We also liked the surroundings woods.

We camped here for two nights in our tent. The campground is like a large park with good facilities. Friendly hosts. Enjoyed the river walk which runs from the reserve next door as well Showers are free, hot with good water pressure.

We stayed here one night on our tour of N.Z. It is on the banks of the Whanganui river. and the stretch of water is used extensively by the locals and campsite residents alike, for swimming and walking. We had a nice sunny pitch and made good use of their BBQ. The owners were very friendly and helpful. All their...

My family and I recently stayed at the Taumarunui Holiday Park. Having stayed in holiday parks right across Australia and NZ I can say without hesitation that it is the best holiday park we have stayed in. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the attention to detail was excellent. Little things like having cleaning utensils and detergent in the...

Staff was so friendly and kind, patient on the phone answering all our questions. Wifi worked well, it was IAC where you needed to pay instead of free with your accommodations. We enjoyed our overnight stay here in one of the basic cabins; the cabin was quite cramped and very sparse but the beds were comfortable and clean. Kitchen and...

We stayed in the Kiwi Cottage, which on their website is advertised as cute and retro, so I expected that. An old Formica table was the only retro thing we found. The cabin was adequate, the bed comfy but horrid peeling paint on the ceiling and a bare lightbulb in the bedroom aren't good enough for the price charged. You...

This holiday park is set in a beautiful setting beside the Whanganui River. The proprietors were great with handy recommendations and even made sure I would be picked up while away for the day. Needed to replenish my campervan and needed the laundry etc. A restful experience. Good facilities.

I spent 2 nights here in a cabin. Cabin was small but clean and tidy with a new slat bed and was very comfortable and cheap. Was given extra blankets when I checked in as they thought it might be a chilly night. I last stayed here about 14 years ago and booked it without realising I had been here...
