The Hotel Sinis Vacanze Sa Pedrera is in the centre of the Sardinien west coast, 6 Km away from Cabras a small village by the homonymous lagoon, and 15 Km away from Oristano. The Sinis Vacanze Sa Pedrera is in the middle of the biggest protected marine area of Italy: The Peninsula of sinis - Island of Mal di Ventre"which with its complete eco - system represents an environmental patrimony of great interest. Thanks to its position you can reach the marvellous beaches of quarz sand, similar to rice such as Mari Ermi, Is Aruttas and Maimoni or the Park of Seu where you can see the typical flora and fauna of the mediteranean area as the pink Flamingoes and many other types of birds living in the lagoons. You can visit he Ruins of The Phoenician - Punic City of Tharros, the Hypogeum of San Salvatore and the many Nuraghi all around the area. The Hotel is made of different buildings harmonically fitted into a green oasis. The 14 rooms are all furnished with semplicity of shapes and very fine taste. They all look onto a big porch within which there is an elegant garden. The rooms have air - conditioned, phone with wake-up service, satellite TV, private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, safe. Just a few steps away from the hotel you can enjoy the restaurant whit it's local specialities such as the Bottarga, the Burrida, anguille fish.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! We booked 2 rooms, because it was me and my partner, my mother and father. The structure is very nice and well cared for, in the middle of the green, it seems to be in a small residence with rooms that all overlook a beautiful garden, and are all on the ground floor. Very nice rooms in Sardinian style and very clean. The very kind staff, as well as the owners who were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast also well stocked with gluten-free products. The perfect location to visit the nearby archaeological sites, Mont'e Prama and Tharros, and only 5 minutes from Cabras. We will definitely come back, also because we would also like to try the restaurant 😊 which had an inviting menu.
Recommendation definitely. Bravo everyone and thank you for your welcome ❤

We spent five days of complete relaxation, welcomed into a magnificent structure, with attention to the smallest details, strategically equidistant from the most beautiful beaches of Sinis and all the other attractions of this beautiful part of Sardinia. Owners present, very kind and attentive to guests' needs, extremely professional staff, complete breakfast, excellent dinner on request. Frankly, we couldn't have asked for more. We will definitely return.

We stayed at this hotel during our vacation roundtrip trough Sardinia.

These types of "nature / bio" hotels are usually our favorite. Especially when it comes with very friendly staff and good hygiene.

The hotel is perfectly located in the Sinis peninsula. Every attraction in the area is just a short drive away (Tharos, Arutas, flamingo spots).

The hotel and rooms are very well maintained and clean. Also props for the housekeeping for the great work.

It has a good and big restaurant.
(Keep in mind that its closed on mondays and teusdays tho).

Breakfast was fresh and tasty.

Highly recomended!

A very comfortable and clean family-run hotel, very good facilities and wonderful helpful staff. A very good restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. An excellent base to visit the amazing Tharros archeological site (10 min by car) and the local town Cabras with its excellent museum (15 min by car).

Paradise Found!

My wife and I stayed at Sa Pedrera for 2 weeks in early July, 2006. We heard of the hotel from some friends and were told it was basic but located very nicely for a quiet beach vacation. I have to admit when we arrived we weren't quite sure what to think, but by the time we left we were in love with the place.

The rooms themselves are quite basic with Air Conditioning, private bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, etc. We found them to be larger than what we've been used to in Europe. The hotel has about 14 rooms of varying sizes and all open into a central courtyard area.

The amenities include tennis courts, a night club (open on the weekend only), a restaurant, a breakfast room, and a coffee bar. The restaurant serves typical cuisine of the area (lots of fish and seafood, and pasta of course) as well as delicious pizzas. Breakfast was excellent, restaurant had very good food and excellent staff, and for variety the towns of Cabras and Oristano are nearby with other choices for restaurants. The only thing we missed was a pool, but considering Sardegna has every type of beach imaginable within a short drive of the resort, it wasn't a big issue for us.

The hotel itself is clean, well maintained and quiet -- staff encouraged guests to be quiet during siesta (afternoon) and after 11PM. The reception staff (who also own the hotel) were very accomodating and helpful with our lost luggage, and providing information on nearby attractions, suggestions for day trips, etc.

Nearby attractions include a protected marine area (no fishing) with gorgeous beaches, the archaeological site of Tharros, lots of roman and pre-roman ruins, and the city of Oristano which provides access to a supermarket, internet, etc.

You'll want to rent a car as there's really nothing within walking distance, but unlike mainland Italy the highways are simple, navigable, and quite safe to drive.

A translation dictionary from Italian to your own language is also highly recommended (and can be purchased in Oristano) as most of the Sardegnians we encountered did not speak any English and menus etc did not have translations in most cases.

We opted for the full-board which included our room, breakfast and supper, and we found the value for money to be very good -- especially when compared against the mainland hotels we've stayed in.

We'll definitely return to Sardegna and specifically to Sa Pedrera for our next European beach holiday! If you want a hotel that gives you the beauty of Sardegna but a quiet retreat away from the resort areas, give this hotel serious consideration!

"The hotel is based around a courtyard, and the rooms opposite reception and furthers from the road will be the quieter ones."
