In late September 2016 my wife and I spent two nights at the Kinlochewe Hotel in Scotland, and we were very happy with the experience we had there. We used the hotel as a base for hiking in the areas around Kinlochewe and nearby Torridon. Besides its convenience location for these outings, we found the hotel itself to be a... More

Got a nice room with comfortable twin beds - plenty of space for bags and extra gear. The best place to eat is in the pub on the first floor. Great variety of beers and the fish 'n' chips was the best we had eaten in two weeks in Scotland. The staff were extremely nice and helpful, including the smiling... More

I stayed here for one night, not enough to judge a normal hotel, but given the lack of services here, more than enough for what is on offer here. You get seated for your meal in the bar, which is overly formal for a bar and the food is nice but overly pretentious. Wifi is turned off for most of... More

Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Kinlochewe hotel. The food was superb, with a good choice - lamb shank was a favourite as it was melt in the mouth delicious and huge! There is a huge selection of whiskies and 7 different real ales on tap. The owners were very friendly and had a good knowledge of the... More

First comment, the "poor" rating is purely around the room that I had plus the shared bathroom. Arrived at Kinlochewe Hotel for one night 14th September, First impressions, hmm. Parked the bikes in the car park at the rear behind the bunkhouse and Into the hotel. Reception, note to self, don't be the third man in as you end up... More

Kinlochewe Hotel The only pub in Kinlochewe so it’s very popular with the locals and visitors. The landlord is very friendly and very knowledgeable about the real ales he sells; an ever changing choice of well-kept real ales and there are usually 6 ales available. Then pub has plenty of seating but as it serves food if you are not... More

We chose this hotel for its location between points on our drive to north highlands. There is not much to the town but hikers. The hotel restaurant is the only place to eat - which we found very good. Check in was little strange with wifi down. No wifi anywhere but that doesn't matter to me except how it affected... More

Our bed was uncomfortable, the shower was dismal, the room had no radio nor tv and neither did the sitting room, e.g. the option was not there. The food in the bar was not acceptable due to it being cold when served and still being costly despite a complaint being made, no attempt to rectify nor any form of customer... More

I stayed here for 3 nights. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had a single room which was fine for just me, clean, comfortable and had the basic necessities. The food is fantastic everything is fresh and made to order wither it be in the bar or for breakfast. Good selection of whisky, Scottish Gin and Local ales in... More

We arrived about 15 mins after the kitchen closed- we were cycling the NC500. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and the staff heated us up some lovely casserole which was very much appreciated. We stayed in an economy twin room, the room was nice and spacious with an additional plug in heater and sink (shared bathroom down... More
