Had a 3 course meal here it was so delicious worth every penny. Great service as well. Would thoroughly recommend. Had Duck doughnuts to start then pork cheeks followed by chocolate cremosa. They also had non alcoholic aperol which went down quite well Possibly best pub we've ever eaten in!

Truly recommended place to stay, explore the nearby Great Missenden village (one location where Midsomer Murders was filmed) and have a delicious lunch/dinner in the pub or in a romantic outdoor tent. We had a nicely decorated king room on a second floor, views to the garden. It was spacious and very quiet during the night. We ate lunch in the pub. The food is excellent (true gourmet experience!). I especially recommend the scallops, yammy! Breakfast was also very delicious. The staff during the lunch, evening drinks and breakfast was extremely helpful and kind :)

We’ve just had a fabulous lunch at the Nags Head and despite being short staffed the food & service was excellent. The Sunday roasts where delicious as my dessert of expresso cake with citrus mascarpone and blackberry sorbet was delightful. We will be back.

The Nag’s Head team were good enough to accommodate us for 4 nights in May 2021, while Covid lockdown was still winding down, because we needed to isolate due to a procedure at the local hospital; this included our arrival at the empty building on a day when they weren’t technically open. After this ‘false start’ (i.e. caused by us), the management and staff were extremely helpful. Expect a ‘quaint’ layout of rooms and corridors which define this 15th-Century coaching inn. While the business currently leans heavily on a tented outdoor licensed restaurant, the friendliness and helpfulness of both management and staff extend to customer care of the staying guest in terms of room service, etc. and this earns them 5 stars. They also proved very flexible (e.g. when I cancelled a fifth night, late). The smart local village of Gt Missenden is also worth the stroll – D & SC R, Peterborough

Decent portions and overall decent value. Choice of 3 good local ales and top service. Would recommend for a quality meal out. This is gourmet food so expect to pay a fair price and enjoy the ambiance.
