We booked online, turned up and was told the booking wasn't available. When shown the booking on email on the phone the staff could not explain why the booking had not been made. They did try and help find some accommodation to get us to our friends' wedding reception

For a special occasion I rented out the coach house (the private function area at origins) and what an amazing time we had!!! The beautiful coach house is 2 floors with its own private bar and beautifully decorated. Great music and provided a fantastic atmosphere for this occasion. The food was absolutely delicious! The homemade fish and chips was so tasty and practically melted in your mouth and accompanied by some flavourful mushy peas. We had a range of many dishes to try and choose from, all of which we were out of this world! The homemade bread grissini and dips were another highlight. The bar staff were very attentive and were happy to accommodate anything for our large group. The cocktails were amazing and only made with fresh fruits and ingredients! A great range of wines and gins to try from. Thank you for a fantastic night origins! We will all be back :)

Went to the restaurant here for lunch and enjoyed it immensely - everything was delicious. I checked into my room after which was bright, clean and comfortable. During the day and evening the noise did pump up a bit as the top Is located directly above the kitchen entrance . There is lot of shouting between staff some singing etc, this is fine if you are in great Missenden to celebrate something and stay out late. If you’re trying to have a quiet relaxing weekend I would avoid this place as strangely it’s one of the noisiest pubs in the quietest places I’ve stayed in. It could actually be solved very easily by putting a lobby door at the top of the stairs , surprised this hasn’t happened as it would solve many problems. Breakfast is continental but good and plentiful so all in all the stay was not bad but was very tired on the Sunday and had to cut my last day short there due to lack of sleep.

Nice pleasant rooms comfortable beds very clean. Only issue In our room was the radiator wasn’t working ,they did leave us an electric heater in the room but obviously we didn’t leave this on all night so the room was very cold in the morning . Bit disappointed with breakfast starting at 8am as we had to leave for work at 7.30 so had to do without and wasn’t offered any alternative . All In all its a nice place to stay for a weekend away but being a contractor working away the place didn’t cater for us at all and the village of Great Missenden is very quiet with just few overpriced pubs and places to eat . Not somewhere I’d stay again whilst working away .
