We stayed at Rounceval House for one night after friends' Ruby Wedding celebrations earlier in the afternnoon. The hotel was clean and Mark and his staff couldn't have been nicer. We were allowed early access (10:30 am) to our room to prepare for the event and Mark rang for a cab for us whilst we did so. Nice old hotel...

This is ideally situated in Chipping Sodbury having the advantage of off road parking. Our room was fine, the interesting bit was the curtained off on suite. It's only when you see it do you realise how " interesting" it can be for your partner. We stopped on a particularly windy night and the Windows did rattle, but breakfast was...

A very nice hotel with a lot of old character. Very clean, good staff with friendly professional service. My room was very spacious with bath in the room which I thought was nice, would definitely book again.

This lovely old building makes a characterful place to stay. It's well placed at the top of the high street. Others have mentioned noise from the street outside, but this is Chipping Sodbury, not the M1. Our room on the ground floor faced directly on to the road - yes you can hear the odd car passing but it was...

Pleasant welcome and a great nights sleep. Such a comfortable big bed, crisp sheets and warm. Spacious room with plenty of area to relax and spend time. Breakfast room immaculate, table cloths, napkins with rings, delicious cafetière coffee, huge range of quality cereals , perfectly cooked poached eggs. Thank you

It was our first time in Chipping Sodbury and despite the heavy rain; overall we enjoyed our time there. The hotel is well situated being in the centre of the town. There were plenty of restaurants to choice from nearby. The owner of the hotel was very friendly and welcoming. He also turned out to be very knowledgeable about the...

This hotel is absolutely lovely. Old building with lots of character, the family room we stayed in was magical, our daughters even asked of they could check for Narnia in the wardrobe. The family room we had is two connecting rooms, the main with large double and the attached room with two single beds. Mark and Anita are lovely and...

“Fawlty Towers” comes to mind about this place, which is unfair because the staff is actually very friendly. The rooms are very different, but nothing bad. Breakfast is good and wholesome, and can be adapted on request

As a parent, family room often means ok for 3 but 4 at a squash, not the case here, lovely room, kids own room and space, a bit quirky as you're in the room of this old hotel but good quirky not bad. Excellent breakfast also rounded off a very pleasant stay. Chipping Sodbury is also a pleasant Cotswold-border town...

What a wonderful hotel. Mark thank you and your staff for making this a wonderful experience. Your care and attention to detail were very much appreciated. Your kindness in our hour of need was refreshing and second to none. The rooms were all lovely (we had 3 of them) the English Breakfasts were amazing, the selection of fresh fruit and...
