This was an amazing place. Our safari ranger, Norman, was truly knowledgeable and made the safaris great fun. Hospitality and dining are first rate - nothing is too much for them to do for you. This was our first time on safari and we would recommend the welcoming Amakhala experience to everyone.

My wife and I spent two nights, three days with the folks at Bush Lodge. It was an amazing way to finish and punctuate our 3 week vacation in South Africa! Very professional and courteous staff from start to finish - we were greeted warmly at the start. The main lodge is a beautiful space with bar, dining, lounging area,...

We stayed here and were treated with the best service from the welcoming staff, all run very smoothly and we were taken for the most delicious breakfast. The view from the lodge is incredible and stretches for kilometers, there is a waterhole where animals go and drink so there were giraffes, warthogs and other bocks. I can say that it...

We enjoyed three nights here in the fabulous 'tent' that included a log burner, free-standing bath, his and her sinks, open shower room, aircon, plunge pool and private deck...not your normal camping experience!! ;) There were a few things in the tents décor/furniture that were maybe a little dated, but this was all part of the charm. Staff, food, game...

After 2 weeks travelling the Garden Route, this was the highlight of our trip. Our "tent" was luxurious, the food & hospitality excellent and the safari drives exceeded expectations. The reserve is, maybe, not as vast as others but it meant we got to see plenty of amazing wildlife close-up and enjoy amazing scenery with a lively commentary from our...

Rod and Tracy were the most excellent hosts. We could not have asked for a better experience, from the early morning game drives to the dinner in the evening. Relaxing in your own private pool while looking at wildlife was just amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner - world class cuisine!!! Coming back from the afternoon drive (guided game drives) -...

Incredible hosts. Impeccable accommodations. Hot baths waiting for you after a safari. The scenery was gorgeous and tranquil. Out of this world service and meals. Let's just say I would go back in minute and I would recommend it anyone.

It's the real deal. Right in the middle of the game reserve, overlooking a watering hole, the 6 'tents' at amakhala are just the right side of luxurious (free standing bath run for you every night, your own plunge pool and private veranda, minibar stocked with your favourite complimentary tipples, log fire) whilst also being authentic tents with outside shower,...

We have just returned after 3 nights at the reserve, can't explain how incredible our stay was, from beginning to end, the staff were fantastic, bending over backwards to make sure our holiday was an experience to remember. Norman checked us in, and then we met Vera our Ranger, who was the best, she made us feel so comfortable and...

We have had a fantastic three nights here and have no hesitation in recommending it. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and looked after by totally dedicated staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Our guide on the game drives was very professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and the food was delicious. All round I...
