We had the most wonderful time at Irente Farm Lodge. The whole team was friendly at all times and extremely service-oriented. Even when we decided to stay longer and needed assistance in organising a Safari the Irente Farm Lodge team made the impossible possible. The food was absolutely delicious, the landscape is breathtaking and the rooms/bungalows are so sweet. All...

We camped for 2 nights and can't complain about the campsite - hot showers and clean ablutions. The food offered for dinner in our opinion was extremely overpriced, 25000/person, so we opted not to eat there. It's about 50 mins walk from Lushoto town which didn't bother us. My main complaint was the staff - both the owner/manager and other...

Had heard wonderful things about Irente Farm House from friends so stopped for breakfast on our last morning in the Usumbara Mountains. Was definitely one of the highlights of the trip and wish we could have stayed longer! The home made cheese, jams and bread were delicious and the hostess was lovely! Would recommend to all my friends

My wife and i spent there 2 nights. We stayed in a cabin. there was a little bit mold on the ceiling, but the room itself was clean. The shower was away from the cabin, in the camping area (4-5 minutes walk). Breakfast and dinner were included and were very tasty. they make nice cheese and jams over there which...

We intended to stay at Irente farm for just one night but after experiencing Ute's hospitality and the beautiful homestead she's created, we spent three nights at the farm and enjoyed every minute of it. The food is incredible, Ute and the team are making on site and serving delicious cheese, yoghurts, jams, fresh muesli and the dinners are all...

We stayed at the farm for 1 night before going to the irente viewpoint. The food (breakfast/dinner) was fantastic. All products (cheese, jam, yoghurt,...) were made locally at the farm. The shower was great with hot water. Taxi to and from Lushoto was about 10000 TZS.

The first thing that I noticed was the clear air so nice. Then the cosy retaurant and nice view. And then we met Ute such a nice, friendly and funny lady. The food was very good and the atmosphre is so familiar and nice. The nature is fantastic! We had some nice days here. Thank you Ute for that.

Very good hostel and area to relax, especially after visiting the big cities or doing safaris. The current manager is from Germany and therefore very organised. The meals are good and although a bit pricey to recommend. The dorms are actually two bed rooms and very clean, drinking water is free. Two hot showers, a separate toilet and two sinks....

My family (wife and two boys) stayed at the Irente Farm Lodge for three nights. We were warmly welcomed by Ute, Rich, Catherine, and Flora. Nestled in the corner of a 200 hectare farm, the lodge is great for those just looking to camp, or families wanting a few days away from Dar (or Arusha, etc.). Hiking trails are plentiful...
