first of all the beach is Beautiful. The hotel is super quite. You can also have massage on the beach. The food at the restaurant is very good and not expensive at all. The staff is friendly and care about you.

The rooms and social areas are more spacious than other hotels. They have a few deck chairs on the beach front and there is a raised shaded area too. Their rooms are set off the beach where as other hotels are built into the cliff with better views. Weigh up the options, better view or better room? At first our hotel room was at the back near the road which was loud early on the mornings. Specify during the booking that you would like a room closer to the beach. When there was availability we changed to a different room and slept very well. The hotel staff are very accommodating and smiley. We had a lovely NY celebration with hotel at a reasonable price. With a buffet and tasteful entertainment. The beach area is the really nice. The second best beach in the neighbourhood. During high tide the rocks don’t bother you but during low tide you will have to avoid them a little. But Nothing dangerous or nothing that will effect you from getting into the sea. If you want the best beach, walk ten minutes the right, past the ‘rock bar’ and it’s perfect. My only suggestion for the hotel is to terminate the stingless bees that are nesting outside in the wood work of some of your rooms.

We have been guests in Season Bungalow over the last six years and stayed every year more than two months. So we can of course say more about the resort than somebody who stays there for only two nights. Here the negatives: since last year they have dogs, one is problematic. This dog welcomes the new arrivals with barking and growling pretty aggressively. The owners don’t have a clue how to handle this dog and we have seen bizarre scenes when this dog seemed to attack people and the owners were just looking. For us it is not a question if that dog will bite finally somebody, the only question is when. It shouldn’t be in a resort with many people, among them many kids. The resort is on the main road, busiest point of the otherwise quiet island. Noise from many mopeds and in the night time from the bar directly in the back of the resort. The internet is a joke, sometimes available until 10p.m. in the restaurant, nowhere else. For some more years on one side, directly behind one of the two rows of bungalows of the resort, there is a massive building project in progress, with noisy construction machines of all kind all day long. The tab water is sometimes OK, sometimes brown and sometimes black. Positive and negative: the staff is lovely, the girls in the restaurant and the cleaning ladies, all very nice, friendly and charming. Except the lady at the reception – the wife of the owner. She can become from one second to the other so incredibly nasty and rude, never seen somewhere else in another accommodation. Especially when guests have small or as well valid complaints, we have seen her becoming really rude many times and thought some guests would have complained about two ants on the bed or other stupid things, but now that rudeness happened also to us. She accepted a booking request for the bungalow in which we stayed, although it was promised that we will stay another month. No sorry or apology for her error, no attempt to find an acceptable solution, just the usual rude reaction, we have to check out. A good hotel offers in case of a booking error an equal or even an upgrade solution. Since quite a while we were thinking it is time to go somewhere else and now this “receptionist” made it – after the shock and the disappointment - pretty easy for us to go. There are so many nicer places on beautiful Ko Jum with good atmosphere and where you feel really welcome as a guest. We will miss the lovely staff, nothing else.

Nice location by the beach, selection of books available in different languages. Food at the restaurant also tasty. At least the cheapest bungalows (behind the nice ones) are run-down with small ants all over the bed. I didn't want to spend any time in the room. Wifi only in the common areas but that was ok. If the bungalow had been nicer, I would have scored this place higher.

Initially, we were given a bungalow right next to the quite busy road. Our suspicions were that they would have liked us to upgrade to a more expensive room as we are certainly not young backpackers, but we asked to be moved to a quieter (and same priced room) and were immediately given a similar and much quieter one. After this we found our stay on Ko Jum very pleasant. The Season Bungalows are centrally located on this quiet beach (good snorkelling right off the front of the hotel!). Food was nice and we found the prices across the whole island to be very fair (and considerably lower than Ko Lanta!!). I feel that a stay of more than a week would be too long as there are not that many bars and restaurants, although we were there at the end of March and it looked as though the resorts would be closing for the season at any time

We turned a 3 day stay at Season into a 5 day stay as we loved it so much. Amazing beach, great location, so quiet. The room was great and the food in the restaurant was great too. Excellent value for money. However, a special mention should go to the staff and team running the place...they are awesome. So helpful, so friendly and very kind. Really made our trip. Great work guys and great place!

I stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it so much that I went back in December. That old saying, "You can't go home again" springs to mind. The main thing that annoyed me is the beach lounger situation. The hotel has 4-5 plastic loungers, a handful of wooden benches / bales, and maybe 10 park chairs (the type with the wooden X-shaped frame, with fabric or plastic slung between the arms of the X to form a seat). I have a bad back so find park chairs uncomfortable for lounging, so I wanted to use one of the plastic loungers, which were free. But when I went to use them, the staff told me I couldn't - that they were reserved for the exclusive use of the guests in the two most expensive rooms. Do I even need to mention that the guests in those rooms never used them, and they just sat empty all day? I know it's a small thing, but the idiocy of the policy was incredibly annoying, and rather put me off my stay. The island is still lovely and quiet (there's a bit of new development, but not much, and not a lot of traffic - hardly any at night). The sad development is that this end of the beach now has some sandflies. 2 years ago there were none, but this year I got a tonne of bites from the little blighters, despite covering myself with repellent. Weirdly, most people didn't have a lot of problems with them, so I guess it depends on your luck (and how much they like your particular taste). The sea has a lot of rocks and (mostly dead) coral which can be quite sharp, so either swim where the various hotel's longtails pull into the beach (as those areas have been cleared of rocks) or wear swimshoes. Also, be very careful on low tide, as there are a tonne of sea urchins a short distance out from the beach, and those areas are about chest deep at low tide, so it's entirely possible to step on one if you're not careful. Between Season and Golden Pearl (next door) there is a new roped off “swimming area” which has been cleared of most seaweed and the sea urchins, but still has the rocks.

We really enjoyed our stay at Season Bungalow. We had a bungalow from which we could see the sea. Our room was spacious and clean (though take care of not leaving anything which can attract ants - they will come big time!). The bathroom was ok, but a curtain around the shower could have been nice. There was no fridge in the rooms. Beach is great (only a bit difficult to go swimming at low tide due to the rocks). Menucard at the restaurant offered a lot of good tasting, not too expensive meals. Staff was very friendly and som of them spoke very good English. There are some dogs living at the hotel, that bark quite a lot (also at night time). Koh Jum has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Can definitely recommend!
