Expect not to be met at the pier as promised but to be dropped on the main road by taxi and left to make your way up a long and severe incline in extreme heat, hauling your own bags and begging for help as the staff happily stands at the top of the hill, waving. “Can-not. No have.” If you are physically able to finally traverse the serpentine obstacle course, you will be delighted to discover that the property will not accept the credit card you used to book your bungalow. “Can-not. Boss no here.” You will immediately find your cash budget cut by half – because there is no ATM on the island. Drag your bags straight down slippery stone steps to one of the most expensive rooms and learn that not even a single bottle of water is provided. “No include.” Expect the same when…
We enjoyed it to the fullest in Jungle Hill Bungalow. The staff was super friendly, the bungalows clean and nice, the food was delicious, the service extraordinary, ... Will recommend it to anyone - 150 % happy and we miss it already!
Couldn't be any better loved it so much. Can't wait to go back again next year. Great rooms and excellent food. Swimming and snorkeling is awesome. Perfect resort for relaxing and for families. The staff are amazing.
We absolutely loved it here. Firstly the manger Trang was very friendly, great English and looked after us. Unfortunately we only popped over from Koh Lanta for 2 days. Wanted to stay another day but it was fully booked. We had a bungalow right on the beach and the views and sunset where stunning. It is very quiet here but that was exactly what we needed. The bungalow was fan but that was fine and never to hot. It would be nice to have a fridge but a lot of bungalows all over Thailand don’t and it’s not such a big deal when your out all day and evening. As people said it is a steep climb to the main road or other way if your bungalows are at the top. Loved the mosquito net and never got bitten. Got eaten alive in Koh Lanta even using spray. Never saw any bugs in our room. We…
Amazing and not so crowded. Peaceful and relaxing place. Bungalows have good bathroom. Beach front bungalow with gorgeous view. The beach is clean but not easy to swim when is the low tide. Friendly staff. No AC.
Incredible staff, food is outstanding (try chicken satay-it's a meal in its own). I had a beach bungalow, no air con but the location and view and beach access compensated for that. The one negative is you need to be VERY careful swimming, esp when the tide is in, some of the rocks below are razor sharp, I cut my hand to pieces on one. Prob not great for young kids.
We spent three nights in a wonderful bungalow right by the beach. Having travelled around exploring the rest of the west side of Koh Po/Koh Jum we found that this place is located on one of the absolutely best and most beautiful beach strips of this island. As the name suggests, it is on top of a hill, so you'll have to climb some fairly steep steps to get up to the restaurant or to your bungalow (maybe not ideal for people with weak legs). Jungle Hill has the most lovely staff and the greatest food so we didn't really feel the need to go anywhere else for food. There are two small shops located on the other side of the hill, and they have motorbikes for hire, should you want to go out and explore the island's tiny villages or other places. You can also walk along the beach all…
Well just the fact that we have returned for the third time says how lovely this resort is. Tang and her team are helpful, friendly and lovely people. The bungalows are really nice, some more basic than others. This time ours looked over the beach/sea, it was the best one we have stayed in yet. The beach is quiet and lots of space the relax in the sun. If you get chance do visit the Rock bar, along the end if the beach nearest the resort, over the rocks and it is perched up on the cliff. Funky, chilled out bar. We are always recommending Jungle Hill to friends and family. 😊
If you’re looking for something low key and not many tourists this is definitely a great place to go! We looved Koh Jum. We spent 3 nights at jungle hill and were sad to leave. The restaurant was great and well priced and staff was lovely. Room is very simple, no hot water, ac or wifi in room, but had a bug net and fan. Location right on the beach and beach chairs are provided. Enjoyed nice massage on the beach as well! Would go back for sure!
We have just stayed at Jungle Hill for 6 nights. Our bungalow was basic but clean and had all we needed with a comfy bed, fan and mosquito net. The location is just lovely on a stretch of sandy beach which is rocky at low tide but only a 100 metres or so to a more sandy way in to swim. The food and service in the pretty restaurant is first class and all the staff were helpful and lovely. Highly recommend. We ate at the seafood restaurant by the pier in Koh Jum town on one night which was also lovely, the lady at Jungle Hill organised our taxi.
