This is a small piece of paradise - beautiful and clean bungalows, harmonic setting, very friendly staff and quiet beach. Not so suitable for families w small kids due to a lot of stairs and a few rocks on the beach but for anyone wanting to have a quiet time and almost a private beach this is an advantage. A place to come back to!
We chose this place due to good guest reviews from different websites and it was one of the best decisions of our trip in Thailand so far. Staff is the most hospitable ever! They keep atention in every detail. Also food is really good, you have to try spring roles, fried chicken with cashew nut and phadpreaw wan - delicious. Bungallows are much better than you can see on photos. Please note: there is no hot water on the island and you have to shower with cold one. Island itself is really amazing altough it was raining when we were there. Not many tourists. We spent time walking on the beach, collecting shells and we rented bikes to see the island. It was fun to bike around in rainy day. We also met local guy who peeled the coconut for us :). We would come back again to stay more…
This hotel is to be avoided, you will find a much better place to stay in on the island, and at a better price! The bungalows here aren't worth the price you pay. They promise a sea view and all you see are the trees... The staff is horrible and unrespectful. We asked to cancel our reservation as we preferred other hotels, and they just laughed at our faces and ignored us. They are not helpful at all. Furthermore, the beach isn't the most beautiful on the island, there are lots of rocks so not the best place to swim! The pictures of the beach do not match with the reality. In the end, we spent our time on the other beaches and at other hotels/restaurants much better and cheaper. Indeed, the restaurant is also very expensive compared to other places in Ko Jum. I do not recommend…
Jungle hill is a really nice place, right on the hill, the bungalows are very pretty with nice view at the see. All the staff is excellent, very polite and smily make you feel like home. Also the food at the restaurant is really good with a lot of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner from western food or Thai food. There are a few rocks in front of the see but you can walk just a few steps and you can enjoy swimming. I would recommend it to anyone for nice chilling holidays by the see.
We had a great time here. To keep it structured ill divide in the following points: Location: Kho Jum is a calm island. We came shortly before the high season started and felt almost alone (as tourist). Perfect spot to spend a relxing time! Nightlife or other activities seemed pretty inexsistent to us. But we didnt miss it! The Jungle Hill compound is directly next to the beach. We had a bungalow 10 meters away from the ocean. Sounds ouf clashing waves when lasing in bed included! Most huts are directly integrated into the jungly hilly suroundings. Really nice atmosphere (though the moskito level is higher because of that when the sun goes down). The beach is beautiful! Free kayaks available. But keep in mid that you have rocks and stones on the beach. If you wanna get rid of…
When we stayed here the resort was empty we were the only couple there. This couple than ran the place was friendly and helpful. We had an amazing stay here. They have their own kitchen which severs great tasty food. i would highly recommend it.
Vers good hotel, the staff were very friendly and helped us wel. When we checked in it was rainig, they gave us a bungalow near the restaurant so we have wifi. And we dont have to walk a distance in the Rain. That's so sweet.. The food was amazing! We reccomend this hotel to everyone.. We really come back to this hotel, with te silly monkey's.. Special greets to the daughter of the owner. Greetings Sander & Janneke
Me and my girlfriend were coming from Krabi and headed to kohlanta but we wanted to see ko jum island as well. We just came from Krabi where all the heckling craziness street venders are. Jungle hill bungalow was a great couples get away. We had the whole beach to ourself and it was such a nice experience sleeping in the bungalow in the jungle by ourselves, just a lot different from anywhere else in Thailand. The food there is amazing They also have free Kayaks and the place is pretty much all to your self, so it's great for couples, the only thing a little ruff was there's no ac in the bungalow or hot water, But it adds to the experience Definitely a place to visit.
We've stayed in many wooden shack/bungalows and this was a rather fancy one! Very spacious, well decorated room and a super comfy bed (not a hard Asian one)! Food was great and the staff were really friendly. Your bungalow/shack is more a less in the jungle on the beach and you fall asleep to the sound of waves crashing. Would highly recommend staying here. Also the beach you stay on is pretty clean, whereas some of the other beaches we saw were quite the opposite, and you get to use the kayaks for free! (This may just be in low season though I'm not sure)
Ten/ten would recommend food and drinks at Jungle Hill restaurant. They have an amazing atmosphere and view of the sunset, while drinking some Singha and enjoying some good Tom Yum Koong and Gaeng Paed Gai! OBS: Went here for food and drinks with my girlfriend, we didn't stay here.
