Put simply, this is paradise on earth. It kills me to let the cat out of the bag but this really is picture postcard stuff. Compared to the chaos on Phi Phi this is the resort for those who want peace and tranquility. It's run by the nicest family you could ever encounter. We were made to feel part of the family with my highlight being invited to go fishing in the morning in their longtail boat. Although we only planned to stay a couple of nights, we quickly extended this to as long as we could fit into our intinary. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and we hardly ever left the site. The bungalow's are exciting and very close to the wildlife! Some do have hot water despite other reviews made here and ours was very clean and had spectacular sea views. We booked ours via a typical tourist shop in Phi Phi and a family member met us on arrival (no pier - just simply arrive on the beach). I don't have any negative comments to make - you won't be disappointed!

This is paradise. The bungalows are very nice, comfy and just perfect to relax. You see one of the nicest sunsets from the beach or from the balcony of ur little bungalow. The staff is so super nice, the food is excellent, the drinks (I can only speak for non alcoholic) are super deliscious. It is just perfect for relaxation vacation. They rent motorbikes and bicycles. Just amazing 🥰

We had booked 4 nights and left after 2.. as our kids could not enjoy the beach at all ! Very Rocky and not transparent water we all ended with injured knee!!
The free Kayak end up being 2 old kayakees with only one paddle so you can technically only use one. Snorkeling is really not possible the sea is roo agitated !
The food is ok but expensive.
I have read the review on the staff not being kind, we did not had this issue but we did not pay upfront either so had no issue when we cancelled our 2 last nights. They evwn helped us to organize our transfer to our newly booked hotel.
In this last week if May nearly all restaurants and hotels were closed in Koh Jum. We were absolutelt alone as tourists on the island. This mean also that you are dependant on the local tranfer service to Krabi ( no ferry) and if you want to tour aroud the other islands it is automatically by private long tail.
Rhe beach family bungalow was ok. The mosquito nets are clearly too small for the beds hence not offering a correct protection.

Amazing and not so crowded. Peaceful and relaxing place. Bungalows have good bathroom. Beach front bungalow with gorgeous view. The beach is clean but not easy to swim when is the low tide. Friendly staff. No AC.

Well just the fact that we have returned for the third time says how lovely this resort is.
Tang and her team are helpful, friendly and lovely people.
The bungalows are really nice, some more basic than others.
This time ours looked over the beach/sea, it was the best one we have stayed in yet.
The beach is quiet and lots of space the relax in the sun. If you get chance do visit the Rock bar, along the end if the beach nearest the resort, over the rocks and it is perched up on the cliff. Funky, chilled out bar.
We are always recommending Jungle Hill to friends and family. 😊

If you’re looking for something low key and not many tourists this is definitely a great place to go! We looved Koh Jum. We spent 3 nights at jungle hill and were sad to leave. The restaurant was great and well priced and staff was lovely. Room is very simple, no hot water, ac or wifi in room, but had a bug net and fan. Location right on the beach and beach chairs are provided. Enjoyed nice massage on the beach as well! Would go back for sure!

We have just stayed at Jungle Hill for 6 nights. Our bungalow was basic but clean and had all we needed with a comfy bed, fan and mosquito net. The location is just lovely on a stretch of sandy beach which is rocky at low tide but only a 100 metres or so to a more sandy way in to swim. The food and service in the pretty restaurant is first class and all the staff were helpful and lovely. Highly recommend. We ate at the seafood restaurant by the pier in Koh Jum town on one night which was also lovely, the lady at Jungle Hill organised our taxi.

We had a great time here. To keep it structured ill divide in the following points:

Location:
Kho Jum is a calm island. We came shortly before the high season started and felt almost alone (as tourist). Perfect spot to spend a relxing time! Nightlife or other activities seemed pretty inexsistent to us. But we didnt miss it!
The Jungle Hill compound is directly next to the beach. We had a bungalow 10 meters away from the ocean. Sounds ouf clashing waves when lasing in bed included!
Most huts are directly integrated into the jungly hilly suroundings. Really nice atmosphere (though the moskito level is higher because of that when the sun goes down).
The beach is beautiful! Free kayaks available. But keep in mid that you have rocks and stones on the beach. If you wanna get rid of these. You need to walk 100 meters north.

Accomodation:
Our hut was great. Rough wooden built. Big bed with mosikto net and a small bathroom. Outside you have a terrace with a hammock. Due to the built, we had a good portion of ants and a few geckos. But thats the trade off for an awesome atmosphere! We liked it
Two contras: The water from the tap was a little bit stinky & we missing a few hooks to keep daily clothing organized.

Restaurant:
Awesome! We just tried thai dishes but the we all pretty decent. We tried out 2 different Restaurants on the island but eventually came back because jungle hill was the most tasty one. Prices are also totally okay! Not the cheapest, but worth the few Bath more.

Host:
Everybody was super friendly and helpful. The place seems to run by a family and the atmosphere is really warm. We will definately come back if we can!

Is it worth getting an AC room?
Answer from RubioTallinn

Depends. :) I went to Ko Jum to write some chapters of a book. 30 C air contains a lot of humidity and probably some salt; it pretty much killed my laptop, a MacBook Pro. Video card and trackpad started misfiring. Otherwise, the fan lifestyle is nice and it is reasonably cool at night.
