We stayed here for four nights in January 2020 and overall the hotel is very good. Want to point out that the staff has adequate English skills, the premises are guarded at night with an on site guard. The staff is friendly and helpful. The on site fitness center is top class with free water and towels. Big shower facilities and few people using it. Nice view too!

Checking in was simple despite us being an hour early. Arriving to the pier via speed boat it took us only about 4 minutes to reach the hotel on foot.

The breakfast is as any hotel breakfast, although significantly better than our other stays in ao nang and Railay. Big selection of American breakfast.

The rooms are roomy, with a nice balcony and simple decor. The shower was amazing with high pressure water, usually not common here. Cleaning services are good, you get free water in the minibar every day. Beds are alright although one mattress was really hard and the other one really soft. The only problem with this hotel (which is why I have it 4/5) is that the walls are super thin and it gets really really loud at night even when people just walk around in the rooms next to you and outside. I woke up several times a night from the noise and I’m a pretty sound sleeper. Really a shame since everything else is great here.

The hotel has a simple pool, sadly it was overfilled with screaming kids though. It’s a family hotel so I guess that’s to be expected.

Really close and central of you want to explore phi phi don and the other islands/activities available from the various tourist counters.

A very special place with very special people. Banyan bay villas was just so lovely with the most lovely staff and owner. The food was fabulous - made and presented with such love and care. The villa was very spacious and the view and sound of the sea and the jungle amazing to wake up to. We feel very lucky have experienced this place. We hired a moped and explored the island which was really easy and great fun. We met some locally local people and enjoyed watching the monkeys. We also went on a four islands tour and even swam with sharks thanks to our great guide and driver. A special mention to Jack and his wife who looked after us so well and also Kitima the owner who is fabulous. If you want relaxation, kind service and a real experience of local life then do consider Banyan Bay- there is a very good reason for the good reviews.

We had a spectacular visit to Ko Pu because of our accommodations at Banyan Bay Villas. Our villa was the large one with 2 beds and 2 baths and it was clean and cool. We especially loved the deck with comfy recline chairs. The staff was extremely accommodating and the food was 10/10. This is a traditional, rustic setting right on the sea.

We rented scooters and explored the island. We began our trip in Tokyo then on to 2 weeks all over Vietnam and ended at Ko Pu which was, by far, our favorite part of the nearly month long vacation.

Villa badly maintained. For 5 days the water leaked out onto floor in the bathroom leaving us to stand in water when using it. Breakfast offering limited and not what you expect when paying top dollar as you can chose 1 item from breakfast menu. Pool area not user friendly as on many levels with no decent access and seating areas never cleaned. Pool bar bell didn't exist and no service. If you needed something you had to mount some steep steps to reception with no real railing. Resort not for guests with mobility issues.

Unfortunately this place is a one star rating. When we arrived the staff looked puzzled to see us. We were ushered to our room only to find that there were dirty dishes in the bathroom sink, there were ants everywhere (even in the sheets which looked like they hadn't been washed) and the door to our room wouldn't even lock. The pool was not functional (very gross) and the upstairs restaurant had ants running all over the tables. If you like peace and quiet, that it was, but no effort in cleanliness whatsoever. The water is very, very rocky so be careful.

A dream, a small complex with lots of charm. We were only there for three days and felt at home. The staff are very friendly and courteous. Like the view, the food is a dream, we would have loved to order the whole menu.
Can only recommend it. We will be back

My partner and I have just returned home from a holiday in Thailand. We have travelled and visited many parts over the last few years, and we think we have found a wonderful, un spoilt beauty of an island in the south called Koh Pu. It is also known as Koh Jum. We stayed 4 nights at the marvelous Banyan Bay Villas. Immediately we felt at ease with the Thai Lady owner and her staff. The food was delicious , surpassed only by the jaw dropping view from the restaurant. We ate many local dishes that we had never tried before. There are only 4 bungalows which are spread out in the lush gardens over looking the sandy beach. It was great to be able to listen to nature, see wild monkeys and tropical birds , all from the sunken bath. We rented a scooter and would recommend touring the island. There is an obvious change in scenery and locals from North to South. We especially liked the tour of the rubber tree’s organized by Kittima the owner of Banyan bay villas.
We are both looking forward to returning to Koh Pu and will definitely stay here again.

I almost don’t what to write this review as we want to save this place for ourselves!
My wife and I just returned from a fantastic stay on Ko Pu. Some friends we met on Ko Lanta told us about this brand new place Banyan Bay villas, and we were very pleased with our choice to check it out. . Banyan Bay villas sits on a hill looking over the beautiful Andaman ocean , the views of krabi islands are breathtaking!
The owner, Mrs. Kitima is a lovely Thai lady who has created this place with lots of love and passion. We chose Flame Tree villa for our 3 night stay. The villa is made of nice natural material and has the a stunning views of the sea, we liked the bath tub very much. Bring a good book, My wife spent hours in the swinging chair on the veranda.
The most amazing part of our stay was the exceptional Thai hospitably that Kitma and her staff provided. The food they made for us was nothing but the finest seafood and made with so much care and love.
Swimming at high tide was very nice on our private beach , ice cold beer served to us on the beach and a local took us out for a little fishing at sunset on his traditional long tail boat.

After an enjoyable stay on Klong Dao beach Ko lanta, we just loved the chilled out vibe on Ko pu so much more. This is not a party place, which is just what we wanted.

Ko pu ( same island as Jum island) is on the northern part of Ko jum, its seems a very traditional place with lots of Rubber tree’s and still very traditional ways of life, definitely a place to unwind and soak up the good vibes.

Wow. It's already May, 4 months after and I'm writing about it, but still such warm feelings and memories.

We went there for 5 days, very convenient private transfer from airport, worth paying. This place was recommended to us by our friends, couple, they said alternative to branded hotels, and you just have right feeling there.

They were right: This place is with a soul, full with smiles, great food, amazing and kind people. The owner Kitima is putting all the love to this place. You feel it in each small thing.

Now to the facts:

(1)You should not expect luxury, that's not the right place. But what you can be sure about - you will be calm, refreshed and recovered completely, all tailored for you. Small example: I could have a look how they cook in the kitchen, made a video and cooked this food at home :). That's beside small things which make your stay better: you pay when you leave, so no need to think about money; there is nice private tours to phi-phi (we took it, too many tourists around, but still worth seeing, nature is amazing and snorkeling was nice)
(2) beach - really nice and quiet.
(3) food - very impressive. We travel a lot, and like great restaurants, different cousins. We could not believe simple food can be so tasty. And after you eat it - you feel peace. I felt that only in Banyan Bay
(4) laugh: everyone smiles to you, not fake smile, true smile, you just feel it. It makes your stay better
(5) massage - just amazing woman (don't know if I write the name correctly, only heard it :) Bee) . My pain on right Hand went away after 3 massages!!! Strongly recommend.
(6) cocktails - unbelievable! Ladyboy knows this job perfectly!

Many thanks and strongly recommended, if you look for recovery, great food, happiness and nature! 10 out of 5, we will come back.
