Really like the service and the view of cafe. The daily trip arranged by hotel with picnic is highly recommended. Dinner is well organized as fixed menu buffet you could add as much as you want. To summarize, great experience!
We stayed here for two nights during Chinese New Year 2021, we were the only guests one of the night but they team really treat us like their family. We had a family style dinner that young chef came out to check how we enjoyed everything. We saw the chef went to the small farm next to the lodge to pick up fresh veggies. We have a family suite on top of the lodge and the view toward the valley and temple was really fun. We really felt like we are part of the village life There is a terrace on 4th floor, where we looked at whole sky of stars. The team even invited us to join them for fireworks on the roof! Really miss this family!
This boutique lodge is tucked away at this quiet little village surrounded with barley and wheat field. What a lovely surprise spending few days here with total relaxation and wonderful hospitality. Everything we were craving for, down-to-earth hospitality, simple meals throughout the day and beautiful matsutake mushroom feast ( we were in the middle of mushroom seasons), from sashimi matsutake to pan-fried or stir-fried matsutake, just simply ask the front desk, and the daily finds from the nearby villager at your door step within mins. Don’t forget to drop by at Estelle’s guesthouse which is located at approximately 3 mins walk from the lodge, either have a meal or a coffee in the afternoon, unwind and be inspired with amazing stories from the owner’s over 20 years adventure in Yunnan. …
This is a perfect place for relax. We picked our own food from the garden and the food taste really good. The hotel staffs are really nice with great service. This time is green and there are several big walnut tree in the village and will be great to be back in Autumn.
Very charming small hotel located in a small village among the mountains, very warmy and hospitable hotel staff, especially the manager(!). Everywhere clean, fresh, warm - especially by the burning fireplace. Local food was tasty - especially lunches and dinners. Here you feel like you are visiting a close family. Everybody want you to be happy and glad here. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, beautifully decorated with very comfortable large beds. A small disadvantage for a foreign tourist - hotel staff does not know English at all - thank God the manager saved the situation - she could communicate with us in English. Many thanks to Ms. Manager!
A very warm welcome and a deliciois spicy Lunch made us feel like home. The spacious room with traditional furnishing was cosy and inviting. After the afternoon Tea with seceral bisquits fruits tea and snacks we went hiking. The Landscape is just breathtaking and we really enjoyed some insights into the daily farmers lives. This place and the hosts are lovely and we would love to come back sometime... Thanks for your hospitality ***
Very peaceful hotel, enjoyed relaxing in the library and playing the board games. After our morning hike they set up a glamorous hotpot picnic on the hillside, and in the afternoon our kids loved painting the wooden bowls. The evening meal was a real treat, the lemon chicken was particularly delicious, and the food presentation was 10 out of 10.
Stayed with all 5 hotels from Songtsam, it’s unforgettable journey. Great service and learned culture from local. Food was great, room was clean, just wonderful ! has all package for different journey type, from 4 days to 10 days, all inclusive , and include car hire to drive from points to points. Hotels on each locations include near by activities for your choices is also include. Some hotels even have backyard for grow their own veggie so you will eat the fresh and chemical free veggies naturally.
Located in Bairen Village, Songtsam Benzilan is located so close yet appears far away from town. To hear the constant stream of spring water and the rattling of the cows’ bells as they roamed about freely was magic. Drove up to the mountain top to small village, Niding which leads to what I call the Swiss Alps of China with a beautiful hike down.
This was our first stay in a Songtsam hotel and we really enjoyed it. We drove from the airport in Shangri-La through beautiful countryside and were amazed when the beautiful lodge appeared at the end of the dirt road. In a way, it reminded us of houses in Switzerland. We were welcomed warmly, our luggage was upstairs in a matter of minutes and we were sitting outside in the sunshine having a fantastic lunch in no time at all. Inside, the lodge is beautiful with dark wood panelling and floors. Everything is very clean and well kept, nothing is too much trouble. They provided us with slippers so they could clean our hiking shoes and told us to take them with us to the next lodge. The young manager keeps a close eye on everything. He speaks good English and the other staff members know the basics. But any lack of English is made up for by their friendliness and genuine desire to offer great hospitality. The food is excellent. Normally we do not eat lunch, but we gladly made an exception here. At dinner we had our first yak meat and loved it. After dinner it was nice to chat to other like-minded travellers over a glass of wine. Breakfast offered everything we needed. Certainly it was not a 5-star buffet but the food was fresh and nicely presented. The coffee was good. Our room was large and very comfortable. We had a lovely view over the canyon and the little shrine in the middle. We enjoyed a great hike through several villages with our guide. The nearby monastery was extremely interesting and well worthwhile. We stayed two nights here and really enjoyed it. A great start to our trip through Tibet.…
