We used this B&B as a base while splitting our time between attending Y Not Festival and exploring some of what the Peak District has to offer. Julie the hostess is very warm, welcoming and informative and we briefly met her husband who is also very friendly. The house itself is quaint and comfortable with a mixture of quirky nick...

The Pig of Lead is a historic house in an area of great interest and beauty. There is off-road parking, good wifi and a very comfortable bed. The house is by a fairly busy road, and you will likely need to drive to most places. The house has a large library, with plenty of board games and DVDs also. Our...

From our arrival where we were shown into the lounge with a roaring wood burning stove to our departure, we had a perfect experience. Excellent location for tourist attractions and walks with a short walk to pubs and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our weekend here. From the minute we were ushered into the living room, complete with roaring fire, books, games and of course pigs and offered tea and biscuits, we were made to feel at home. The room was large and had everything we needed. We arrived at the same time as the butcher delivering sausages so we...

This was our second visit to the Pig O Lead and we were not disappointed. We had the same room, which had been improved with an updated en suite shower room and I'm told will be further improved with some more lighting in the en suite. The room was warm and comfortable with a very comfy bed. The breakfasts were...

We always stay at the Pig of Lead each year as it is near to my sister and her family. Julie is so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Julie's husband John often gives Julie a hand cooking the wonderful breakfast you will be set up for the day and will not need to eat again until tea time....
