The Pig of Lead has an interesting history and features lots of pigs. We were made very welcome and had a nice room with all the necessary facilities. Breakfast is excellent. Can be noisy in the morning with quarry lorries. It is well placed to visit all the attractions of this beautiful area.

First time visit with my better half who couldn't praise it enough so happily booked. Not only is the area simply breath taking to drive into, the location of the Pig of Lead couldn't be any easier to find! As soon as we walked in, the owner Julie made us feel instantly welcome although I think I accidently started scoffing...

This is the second time I've visited and once again it was a perfect visit from start to finish. Julie couldn't be a better host. The room was warm, spotlessly clean and had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Breakfast is amazing (perfectly cooked eggs) and Julie has lots of information about things to do in the...

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. It was lovely, very clean, delicious breakfast, warm, very friendly owner. A short walk into Bonsall village, and only a few miles into Matlock. I'd recommend it. Wish we could have stayed longer to try more of the walks surrounding it!
