Unfortunately, when guests expect a full refund after cancelling a reservation after the date of arrival and do not get their way, a negative review will pop up. Cancellation policies are set in place by airlines and hotels and other hospitality businesses for a reason and are clearly outlined and conveyed to guests booking privately and through third party sites. It is still with disbelief that a guest has the audacity of making a reservation, cancelling after they were due to arrive and expect a full credit. No hotel would have honored that request. The owner was upset given the negative connotations being written and rightfully upset being accused of something he is not, given the circumstances of the situation. Maybe the message was a bit harsh but I think anyone would have reacted the same way in anger if their name was being tainted unjustly by a disgruntled person. If you read the review carefully you will notice that the guests indicates the reservation was done by complete accident because of a push of a button. If that were the case, then it was an accident putting his full credit card details, e-mail, phone number, etc? That to me is not a mistake and let's give him the benefit of the doubt that it was a mistake, then why not cancel the reservation immediately with the site he booked with, which is what guests do. This just shows the dishonesty of this person not conveying the truth as to how things actually transpired.
