There are not many places that can balance being luxurious with being toddler friendly. Add farm animals into the mix and completing the balancing act is harder still. Birchill Farm nails it. The cottage (we stayed in Willow) in March 2017 for four nights is smart, clean, functional and feels as nice as home. Great touches included a big box...

It's been 2 1/2 years now, and we still talk about Farmer Simon every now and again! We stayed there in June 2014 (!, I couldn't choose earlier than 2016 in the Tripadvisor mask) while our son was not yet 3 years old and I was pregnant. We were travelling through southern England (first Bournemouth, then Devon, Cornwall and in...

We spent the best part of two weeks at Birchill Farm in Bramble Cottage in October 2016. The cottage was beautifully appointed and set up for children will all the necessary facilities such as changing mats, cots and a well stocked toy box. Stair gates top and bottom of the stairs were a great addition too. The absolute highlight was...

We are just back from a wonderful week staying in Oak Apple Cottage at Birchill Farm and it really is as great as everyone says! They have thought of everything, from equipping the cottages with stair gates, toy box, high chair, cot etc down to the fantastic play barn and climbing frames. The highlight of the holiday though has to...

Just got back from a wonderful week at Birchill Farm. It's amazing for children, our 2 yr old had a great time and an easy holiday with our 4 mth old as well. There's so much for the children with a park area, ride on toys, a play barn and also a toy box in the cottage. The highlight was...

Stayed at Birchill Farm Cottages again after a lovely stay last year. It's still fabulous, lots for children, great fun animal feeding, lovely play areas. Wonderful cottages kitted out properly for children with everything you need (including stair gates as well as high chairs, boosters, kids cutlery toys, bed guards...). Comfortable, cute and brimming with fun, I'd highly recommend this...

This was our second visit and it was just as good as last year. We stayed in Willow and in Hazel last year. The accommodation is really good quality and it's clear that they are continually investing to ensure the farm is constantly improving and not looking tired. We had a great time, Farmer Simon is amazing with children, we...

We'd read the reviews before we went and had high hopes for Birchill Farm. We were not let down at all. Despite changeable weather, the short break that we had was just great. Simon greeted us and showed us to our cottage and then swiftly brought a scone with jam and cream as promised. The cottage itself was the smallest...

We have just returned from a couple of days away at the Birchill Farm Holiday Cottages and can't say enough nice things about this place! The cottage we stayed in is pretty new and is just beautiful. From lovely, comfortable tasteful furnishings to the brand new kitchen to the lovely little toddler bed provided for our daughter (complete with animal...
