Do yourself and your family a favour by booking yourself in this super hotel. The location of the hotel was pretty exotic but the stand-out feature would have to be the Friendly staff, led by their Superb Manager, Hameeda. I might be sounding like an Insider writing a review but believe me, the experience was all that and much more....

This hotel came with a package deal so I cannot be sure about the value for nightly stays. The restaurant had the best food of my entire stay in Turkey (close to a month). I would love to go back and just sit by the fireplace in the room. The view was amazing, the staff helpful, and food was the...

The photo's of this hotel do not capture it's total beauty. This place exceeded our expectations. we were greeted by friendly staff, fresh fruit, hot tea and or choice of local turkish wine. Our room was spacious with a old world charm, there was a wood burning fire place with plenty wood to burn. Even the resturant had amazing food,...

Immediately charmed by warmth of the rooms and staff. They knew we were coming in late and waited to close the kitchen until we dined. The rooms were caves dug into the side of the cliff and decorated very well. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The off the beaten path hotel is much better than staying in the "big"...

From the warm and caring reception to the unique and well appointed "cave" rooms, this hotel meets and exceeds any five-star hotel experience. If you are looking for a truly memorable stay in the Cappadocia area, stay here. Somewhat off the main tourist path, the Gamirasu is literally carved out of the side of a hill. Each room is different...

By the time we made our way to Gamirasu cave hotel, we were already enchanted by the landscape, the people of Cappadocia and that amazingly blue sky. This place simply took our breath away. It is literally carved out of rock with small extensions built with the locally available stone to create this wonderful and unique place. Another unique feature...

My husband and I stayed at the Gamirasu Cove Hotel last April for several nights as part of a tour of Turkey arranged by the travel company connected with this hotel. We were warmly greeted and upgraded to a much nicer room than we had reserved. The room was huge (actually it was a suite built into the cave), beautifully...

We loved this cave hotel, tucked away in the Cappadocia area. Although listed as a four star, in my opinion it was a five star... The weather was cold but our room (a two room suite, #31) was warm and cozy. We stayed two nights and also ate at the restaurant, which is the only choice unless you want to...

This is probably the nicest place I've ever stayed. Each cave room is individually decorated and furnished with impeccable care. The lighting is just beautiful. The hotel is full of interesting nooks and crannies and set in a very authentic little village. Breakfast was wonderful and dinner was delicious, served in the cosy restaurant. The staff were great and really...

We stayed at the Gamirasu Cave Hotel for 3 nights in October. This was an authentic cave hotel, not just a facade. Hotel staff was delightful and accommodating. We had a delightful time. It is a little out of the way, so you will need a car or guide to transport you to the sights. In our party, there was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gamirasu is the name of an exquisitely restored 35 rooms troglodyte cave house opened in 1998, in Ayvali Village near Urgup in the heart of Cappadocia, Turkey. The hotel is located in a restored thousand-year-old Byzantine monastic retreat which offers modern conveniences without distracting from the spiritual feeling of the area which has been known to be inhabited for more than five thousand years. Gamirasu cave Hotel is featured in major international travel guides as one of the best cave hotels of Cappadocia. Recently Business Insider choose '' 50 incredible hotels you should sleep in during your lifetime '' It is also mentioned as a romantic escape for honeymoons in wedding magazines. A 12th century Byzantine Christian church forms part of the Gamirasu, and until recently, part of the hotel was still used by Christian monks. Much care has been taken to blend the historic facades with the natural curves of the Cappadocian landscape to preserve its traditional style and appearance whilst providing you with the utmost in modern conveniences. The finish is stylish and the atmosphere inviting and romantic. Indeed, it is the perfect honeymoon destination, with many couples choosing the intimate cave suites for access to some of the most breathtaking and unforgettable scenery in the world. The sense of tranquility and authentic village atmosphere around the Gamirasu is instantly soothing, with nothing to disturb you but the sound of birds and sumptuous aromas drifting across the warm air from the old Monastic kitchen. Breakfast consists of all local and organically grown produce, including freshly baked bread, clotted cream, honeycomb and fresh fruit. A 7km hiking trail departs from the front door of the hotel and follows a remote valley with a beautiful brook flowing down the middle. In every direction, you are surrounded by breathtaking views, extraordinary natural shapes and a myriad of cave-dwellings to explore.
