We stayed here for a week with 3 children aged 7, 5 and 3. We had two adjoining rooms. The kids, who normally wouldn't go near a kids club, were completely entertained for a full week by the amazing staff. The surrounding area is stunningly beautiful with lots to see and do. The only slight quibble is that the food... More

This is a very nice hotel is an amazing setting. Very few spoke English there but most were friendly except the restaurant staff who made very little effort to be helpful. The facilities are good but so disappointing that the have tennis racquets from the 1980s and not 1 single working adult squash racquet. It is beyond me that you... More

I find it very difficult to write this review: I was disappointed, and yet they didn't do anything wrong as such. I guess I just had very high expectations given some amazing kinderhotel experiences in the past and this hotel just did not provide the same quality, especially for a winter holiday. So I am just going to try and... More

We've now gone back to the hotel for a third time, on this occasion for skiing as this is included free for the children if you stay for a week or more (you just need to pay for ski hire). Again we had a wonderful stay and even managed to get some pottery done in the hotel's own pottery studio,... More

Neubichler Alm is a reasonably priced kinderhotel in Berchtesgadenerland in Germany close to the border with Austria. In fact Salzburg is really close to the hotel. I traveled with my wife and toddler and we had a pleasant stay for over a week. In terms of amenities, the children's play area, the sports facilities, hiking trails as well as the... More

Our family has been to the Hotel Neubichler Alm twice. It is perfect for kids up to around 13, and parents too. There are plenty of fun activities in the hotel itself, the food is nice and the staff are very friendly. There are also lots of nice walks in the surrounding countryside, with stunning scenery.Oh, there is also and... More

We enjoyed a short break in the Salzburg area, and stayed at the Neubichler Alm. It was so enjoyable at the hotel, our kids (6 and 9) would have rather never left the hotel. They loved the pool and the playground, but we didn't have time to do much in the way of activities. There was a full schedule of... More

Our second visit to the Neubichler Alm, this time in winter. We spent a very happy week learning to ski in the Goetschen ski area - the kids' ski lessons were all included in our package deal, and the hotel helped us organise ski hire and adult ski lessons as well (we paid extra for that), as well as laying... I can only agree and totally endorse what the previous reviewer said. we have just had one of the best family holidays yet. the children (aged 10 and 14) soon settled in and treated the hotel and grounds like a second home - which meant that Mum and Dad could relax on the terrace with a coffee or glass of... We were a bit nervous about our booking, just because it wasn't our usual beach/seaside destination for our precious annual summer holiday. That feeling quickly evaporated, however, and we had one of our best holidays ever. First of all, the Neubichler-Alm is in such a glorious situation, on a mountain overlooking Salzburg and surrounded by lush green meadows, fields and... More

“I have never seen a bad room, but if you book early you can get one with a breathtaking view over the mountains. Some rooms are in the annexes, but they are connected via an underground passageway to the main hotel and therefore this is not a problem for families.”
