A truly wonderful and beautiful hotel set on the other side of Zell am See. The rooms are clean and spacious for families. The food is delicious. The staff are so welcoming and accommodating. We had no idea that this was where the von Trapp's used to spend their summers singing, but with the views that this place has, we...

I think that this has possibly go to be the best place to stay in Zell am See as it's away from the main town and therefore nice and quiet, it has a very, very good restaurant that the locals love to use. It has it's own private beach and sunbathing platform on the lake and there are beautiful horses...

This is a lovely, warm family run hotel in a great location. The rooms and interior is very typical Austrian furnished and feels warm and welcome when you arrived. Even on a rainy summers day! The food in the restaurant is exceptional. A little pricy but absolutely worth it.

We skipped the starter as it was only just after noon but received a very nice complimentary black pudding. Mains were filleted strips of beef in pepper sauce with noodles, and monkfish with asparagus fricassee & roast potatoes. Both were superb. Desserts were rhubarb schwarnn & chocolate moose. Again, superb. The entire experience was second to none.

Was recommended this restaurant by the Das Alpenhouse hotel in Kaprun. Staff are very friendly and helpful and knowledgable about the local Austrian wines. Seafood risotto as a starter was fantastic as was the dishes my friends ordered. The restaurant was full of local people which is usually testament to a good reputation. Would definitely return Apparently it is necessary...

Our family stayed two nights in October during our vacation in Germany and Austria. We were elated with the beauty of the area and hotel when we first arrived. We had a double room for my wife rand me with a connecting single room for our twelve year old daughter. The rooms were very clean and organized. The view of...

We had a lovely stay at this guesthouse. The staff was very very friendly and personally saw us off upon departure. The place was very clean, beautiful and the food was delicious and fresh. A real authentic experience which really reflected the true warm hospitality of the Austrian people and the quaint town of Zell am See. The only complaint...

We choose this hotel as it was on the quiet side of the lake, away from the trains. The hotel is lovely, comfortable and set in a beautiful location. Our room was quiet and dark and although comfortable we didn't have enough pillows and our tea tray was not replenished. The main problem was the customer service. There was one...

This is a lovely guesthouse with a luxury price to match. Unfortunately it was spoiled for me by the heat, due to the lack of air con. We kept the windows open and curtains closed in our room but this didn't cool it down significantly, and presented more problems; with people smoking on the terrace below our window. Our "double"...

“The rooms with a lake view are west-facing so hot in the afternoon/evenings (we went in July), and overlook the terrace so are noisy from the road and restaurant. But these also have stunning views.”
