After visiting several traditional Japanies hotels, I could not find anything special to say about that hotel. The design of the rooms and the furniture saw better days. From what I heard from my companions, the Onsen is nice. The food was not for western guests. Our bad luck was the weather, so we were not able to see Mt....

We had a big room with bathroom, seperate toilet, meals were huge with different courses, breakfast was served with different dishes as well, bath house can be a little small, but we had it to ourselves, we had 'onsen' 3 times in overnight stay. Staff are attentive, helpful, location is good, only a few minutes to the lake and the...

Had a big tatami room with tea set, separate toilet and bathroom, small indoor 'balcony' with the view of the garden. No problem getting wifi in the...

I stayed at Kawaguchiko Park Hotel for 1 night during my trip to Japan. The room was small and cozy, with traditional Japanese decorations. You might want to try sitting near the Japanese table, with the heated warming blanket, and enjoy a cup of hot Japanese tea. The overall feel is great. If you are lucky enough, you can even...

The room design is very odd. As soon as you step into the room, to your right is the door to the toilet cubicle (it's extremely tiny for a standing/seated position only!!!!) and to your left is the door to shower area (pathethic design without any hook for hanging!!!!). The centre entry area is the washing sink. The whole area...

This small resort hotel has a relaxed family atmosphere and helpful staff, who have enough English to meet us halfway with our very limited Japanese. It is geared for the Japanese, not Western tourist, but has several Western-style rooms, which are cheaper than the Japanese-style ones. We chose it to experience a Japanese onsen & resort, and the town's easy...
