- We stayed in a big Japanese room with nice futons. Our room don't have the Fujisan view but the lake view while taking a bath was very nice though. - You can take 10 mins walk from Kawaguchiko station but they also have the pickup service in the morning every 30 mins. It's 10-15 mins walk from the lake...

There is nothing royal about this hotel. It looks nice enough, but the rooms are tiny, and the bathroom will remind you of one in a small cruise ship cabin. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the cable car and the lake touring boats, so that was an advantage. We picked an ideal weekend - I've bee...

Got a late booking for a dorm bed @ approx ¥3000. Dorm room was on top floor with 6-8 matresses on the floor in 2 rows. Bit of space behind for luggage. It was a bit like staff quarters they mow realise they can sell - bathroom on that floor needs renovation if so. Cold and tatty. None the less...

Only did the Onsen at Royal hotel, so please consider that. First things first. They accept people with tattoos. Mind I am not covered all over. I have one on my back and one that covers my bicep. So can't say what is what, if you have much more than that. Don't know if this is men only or mixed....

Friendly staff, great location. Small rooms but clean and sufficient for a travellers needs. Hard beds. Great shower. Onsen was clean and relaxing with option of inside or outside bath. Great to have this included in motel cost. Wifi worked well and accessible in rooms.

Most of the Hotels in Kawaguchiko provide shuttle service from the Train Station to the hotel. Just notify the Tourist Center and they will inform the Hotel to fetch you. I believe many bad reviews of the Hotel are due to the worn out rooms of the Old Banquet Level and Old Wing of the Hotel. The rooms in the...

It was amazing! It was winter, it was cold outside and we still enjoyed our outdoor bath. The room was beautiful and the views amazing! Also the futon was so comfy! It was hard to get up and get going of a morning as I just wanted to stay in bed! We traveled in the off season but still found places...

We stayed at their dormitory on the 5th floor which previously was a banquet. The restroom is to be shared with others which was disgusting. The cleanliness was below the worst. The only good thing is public onsen that they have, unfortunately, that was the only option or you won't be able to take a shower elsewhere. It's too expensive...

I stayed at its dormitory/shared bedroom which is at the top floor (5/F). Previously, that was for banquet (as said on its lift). But have been converted to rooms with shared toilet (for both male and female). I chose this hotel because it is just opposite to the Ohike Kouen Park which was both the Start and Finish points for...
