We stayed in the Japanese mountain facing room with outside bath, it seemed pricey at the time however the gamble paid off and we had the best view from our balcony. It's well worth splashing out for the outside bath and mountain view. Some of the reviews mention the hotel is tired and dated, however I wouldn't have said so...

This hotel is located at the edge of one of the 5 lakes near Mt. Fuji. When we visited, there was a snowstorm, so unfortunately there was no view of Mt. Fuji, however the surrounding area was beautiful in the snowscape. This is a large, modern interpretation of a Japanese ryokan. It is a large modern building with tatami style...

My wife and I stayed one night in a private-bath room facing Mount Fuji. The room was a traditional Japanese style room with tatami bedding. They only have 3 rooms of this style. Kaiseki dinner was so much but good, public onsen was invigorating, Japanese buffet breakfast had a ridiculous amount of choices of good foods with some western and...

We stayed 1 night here in a room with Mt Fuji view, its totally awesome experience. Upon arrival we were greeted by a nice gentleman who spoke good English. Pick your fav yukata and off to our room. Dinner and breakfast in the dining room, great and abundance of foods. Service is good!

Stayed here 2 nights, room overseeing lake Kawaguchiko: 1) room - spacious and clean 2) staff - helpful and efficient 3) food - breakfast and dinner was included during our stay and we were overwhelmed with the food they served, good quality of food and perfect Japanese fine dining & buffet. 4) access - just hop into the red or...

A good and relaxing lakeside ryokan with rooms chosen from either facing kawaguchiko or Mt. Fuji. The lake is just outside the ryokan. Only few minute drive from kawaguchiko train station. Pick-up service is available at 3 pm. Or, taking sightseeing bus or taxi before the pick-up time. Not centrally located at kawaguchiko region but not inconvenient. Quiet and peaceful...

Nice little hotel overlooking the lake and mountains surrounding Fuji. Quiet location. Rooms are basic but clean and simple. Onsen is available too which is a blessing after hiking Mt Fuji. Walking into town for food so cannot comment about what the hotel offers.

Rooms are great - view to Fuji is great - service is great - food is beautiful - onset area is nice. The hotel might be a little outdated in terms of appearance and public spaces - but that does not really matter in the total experience. We were treated to helpfull and nice as you can ever imagine. We...

The hotel was a classic old-style one. My room was a tatami one, which was a sitting area before dinner and changed to a bedroom with futon after it. We were given our kimonos to wear for dinner and provided a classic kimono jacket for our sleepwear. My bathroom was open-aired. The hot water was superb especially when meeting the...

The exterior of the hotel and the lobby all looks quite ordinary although it does sit between the lake and Mt Fuji giving great views and good access to the town. We booked a Japanese style room with bath overlooking Fuji The room was large and very well appointed in a traditional Japanese style and above the initial standard of...
