Worth for money because the room was clean and warm , the staff was polite and very good service including pick up and turn back to the bus station, nice view in front of the hotel and restaurants, delicious dinner buffet.
Old hotel, but nice onsen and location is great view. Free parking. Rooms are old but clean. Breakfast is nothing to brag about, but acceptable. Staff at breakfast not too friendly... Mostly cheap tour-group from Asia stays here.
Lovely view of Mt Fuji in the private onsen (i.e. hot spring). Friendly and helpful staff. Free transport service between the train station and the hotel. Lots of selections for breakfast. Comfortable bed. Highly recommended.
RUDE receptionist, not polite to guests. Keep on mubling in Japanese in front of Guest with Noisy tone, note helpful. We have two reservations, so we cancel one beforehand. Reception insisted we get Smoking room, and do NOT get Dinner buffet. They mixup our reservation with the later one. And not helpful to check and clear up the mismatch. And they charge extra JPY970 without Receipt
I accidentally booked a smoking room (yes, they still exist) but the hotel was full for the first night. They offered to move me to non-smoking for the following nights, but I wasn't giving up that view! Fabric freshener and air purifier are provided in room and as an ex-smoker of 18 years, it didn't really bother me all that much in the end. Typical Japanese amenities are provided--toothbrush & paste, hairbrush, razor & shave cream, body wash, shampoo & conditioner. My room was located next to the onsen (separate men's & women's) which I only used in the evenings but would have views of Mt. Fuji during the day. Mainly Japanese-style breakfast buffet with a good selection of meats, vegetables, rice, miso, juices, coffee, teas, rolls, james, etc. The restaurant is also open in the evening. 1800 yen ($20 CAD) for dinner buffet. The hotel runs a shuttle to / from Kawaguchiko Station--book it in advance especially with luggage or about a 20-minute walk. Popular hotel with bus tours so it can get very busy on nights when they are in-house. This is an excellent choice if you want great views of Mt. Fuji! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.…
