The hotel is run-down, I must admit.. but the service is charming.. There was a young lady who spoke good English. And the rate is affordable. Breakfast was quite simple, and dinner got much better the second night! It was a huge spread, with sashimi and an assortment of about 16 ?? dishes (honestly I didn't count). Somehow, there is...

Usually stay in hot spa ryokan minimum two people, and Yamadaya Hotel can be book for single person, as long as you are not looking for any fancy gourmet ryokan, they still do really good home made Japanese cuisines, and they have the best view of Mt, Fuji, what else you want for it!

Hotel hasn't had any decorating done since the 1970's. It's sort of charming but for the price, and when measured against the increadibly high standards of other Japanese places, Yamadaya falls way short. The view is spectacular and the staff friendly, but if you're looking for luxury, look elsewhere.

I came here with my husband and mother, and had a wonderful experience. The breakfast and dinner were divine and not to be missed. The infrastructure is rather old (wooden floors creak sometimes) but everything works perfectly, and i think the dated vibe contributed positively to my ryokan experience (I would very much prefer an old ryokan to a new...

Positives:- 1. Decent price for great views from the room of Mount Fuji when it is not covered by the clouds. 2. Good value japanese breakfast for 1000 yen per px.. tasty as well. 3. Private 30mins (by booking) onsen on the 4th level is great for shy couples or person. Negatives:- 1. At best, warm water in the shower....

Though called a Hotel, it's a Ryokan in all aspects, tatami mats, onsen baths, the works. The building seems to have been build in the 60s judging by certain decors, and might have survived a couple of mild earthquakes. It's a bit further out of the way but it's secusion is a good point. This has none of the fineries...

Located 25 min west of the more touristy Kawaguchiko, this hotel feels small and homey, with nice ofuro with very high mineral content. A private bath can be reserved for families. The food is good, but the highlight is the stunning views of Fuji-san from every room and the baths. Highly recommended for an out of the way peaceful retreat...

- This hotel is traditional, wide and comfortable room with futons. They provide private and public onsen for you. The private onsen (upstairs) is limited to 30 mins per couple/person with Mount Fuji view. - Provide Yukata for the guests per room (Japanese cloth wear- I don't know how to say it correctly) - Very impressed with the view and...

We stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely time. The food was fantastic and the view from our room was just amazing. The hotel was a little run down but we didn't mind. It is a family run hotel and we love it- we felt like at home. We also enjoyed hiking nearby too. We would definitely recommend this...

Stayed for 1 night for a family vacation. Free parking available in front of the hotel. The location was easy to find with Google map. The hotel is family run and place feels dated if you don't mind. We book room include dinner and breakfast as its not easy to find food around the hotel. The private onsen and need...
