Horrible staff, the gardeners are extremely rude and aggressive and poison dogs, many drunk guests on the property, very old rooms, not maintained, a lot of bugs in the rooms which share the terrace with the neighbors, very loud property because of Muri Night Market, boat company on the other side, roosters, barking dogs and a lot of traffic even in the property, seaweed in front of the hotel, no raking of the beach within one month! No breakfast even if you paid for it, They charged us after leaving the property 1000 NDD extra for nothing!!!

Muri Beachcomber is the best accommodation at the best location on Rarotoga. We stayed 30 days and had the best time. Staff were wonderful, friendly, very helpful and overall just like family. Accommodations are very comfortable and location can;t be beat. Highly recommend them.

This was our third stay at Muri Beachcomber of about a week or so each time, so obviously we like the place. Always stayed in a Sea View room only metres from the beach & fabulous lagoon. Rooms are well appointed & self-contained with all the necessities for cooking your own meals if you so wish. Plenty of space with a living/kitchen/lounge area separate to the bedroom. The rooms are cleaned every day (if you choose) by the friendly cleaning ladies. All the sporting equipment you might need are supplied free such as snorkelling gear, kayaks, SUP boards and bikes. Although I must say the bikes - whilst useable - do need some TLC. I kept wishing I'd brought my bike tools along in order to carry out a bit of impromptu maintenance. The snorkelling gear is quite adequate if you only go occasionally but as we usually head out every day on our visits, we choose to bring our own better gear. Plenty of options for eating out for those nights when you don't wish to cook (for us that was most nights). Great food right next door at the Night Market (4 nights a week) which we took back to the room. Good choice of cafes very nearby for brekky (although a continental breakfast is provided every day in the room) or lunch. For dinner (apart from the Night Market food stalls), there is a takeaway place that is part of the nearby grocery store plus a number of restaurants from the cheaper casual type up to the more expensive (relatively speaking) options which are part of other nearby resorts all within easy walking distance. Lastly there is an ATM at the nearby grocery store, a car hire place across the street, the bus stops right outside, and the reception staff are always friendly and helpful. Also, the included transport to and from the airport was very much appreciated and takes away that particular worry. No doubt we'll be back again. …

We spent 7 days at the Muri Beachcomber and loved it. Location - unbeatable. Only 3 minutes walk to supermarket, shops, bakeries, car rental and 4 cafes. The villas are self catering with BBQs so you can have some quiet nights cooking for yourself if you want to. If not, resorts and Night Market give plenty of options all with 5 minute walk. The lagoon is perfect, safe swimming. Having access to the kayaks, snorkeling gear and bikes is awesome. We loved it at Muri and the Beachcomer - so much so we're getting married there next year!

Kia Orana! The Muri Beachcomber is wonderful. We stayed in a Seaview room. Just a few meters to a lovely deck overlooking the beach that was in shade most of the day. Rooms have a refrigerator and a couple of burners, fixings to make tea or coffee and resort provides continental breakfast each day. There is a washing machine on site and handy clothes lines to dry clothes or wet bathing suits. Beach is lovely and water is calm and warm. We could snorkel and see fish and a beautiful cerulean star fish just a few meters from shore. There are several restaurant options a short walk down the beach, or down the road and the Night Market had good food available 4 out of 7 nights. The Muri Beachcomber provides beach towels, snorkeling gear, water shoes, bicycles, paddle boards and kayaks to use and were very helpful in providing hints and recommendations. We would definitely recommend this little piece of paradise to anyone lucky enough to visit Rarotonga! …

This was our second stay and it was as great as the first! We love the location (right on the lagoon, so you can go to sleep to the sound of the distant wave breaking on the reef). We love the staff, so welcoming and attentive. This year we stayed for two weeks and next year we will stay for three! Many of the other guests are “returnees” too, so what better recommendation.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Muri Beachcomber resort for my partner's Birthday. The rooms are spacious and adequately supplied with all the essentials. General facilities are also clean and modern, and the staff are super friendly and happy to answer any questions. The location itself is superb, with a gorgeous lagoon right on your doorstep! There's also an array of restaurants including the Muri night market just outside the resort. The list goes on... Without hesitation, we highly suggest this to anyone, and we eagerly anticipate our next visit! Thanks again for making this one of the best holidays ever!

We unfortunately had a flight cancellation to leave Rarotonga and were left with no accommodation. The staff, specifically Shelley, were extremely accommodating, friendly and kind. With zero notice, they allowed us to check in to a beautiful sea view room. The staff were always very helpful and keen to help us. Our room was perfectly clean, spacious and, as I mentioned, with a stunning view of the Muri lagoon. We particularly loved having sports equipment available for free, such as bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, snorkels and reef shoes. The guest lounge had puzzles, DVDs and board games free to use as well. The breakfast was simple (bread, cereal, spreads, milk, tea, coffee and juice) but it was all we needed. The hotel also had free laundry use, a common swimming pool and fresh fruit in the reception to take. We couldn't be happier with the room and service at Muri Beachcomber and it quite literally made our trip - turning a potential disaster into a holiday highlight!
