Great hosts Esa and Nancy looked after us like long-lost relatives. The sumptuous breakfasts reported by others were in full force (groan... groan... need a gym). The weather was terrible all week but E&N did their best to entertain us, advised us on how to spend time other than on a beach in a howling gale, and carried out many... More

My wife Virginia and I had the wonderful experience of staying at the Ambala Garden Lodge from 22/02/08-29/02/08. We also chose the breakfast option and it was so great that we did. Nancy is a great cook and the fruit smoothies, fruit for cereal, or just eating, comes right off the trees in the garden. It is so fresh. Plus... More

What an enjoyable place off the beaten path! Great location, a short little walk to the best beach in Rarotonga (Muri), with a cool view of the ocean and amazingly green vegetation. We stayed in the Linden Suite on the second floor and enjoyed a very large veranda where we ate breakfast and chatted with Esa, the host. You must... More

There are so many nice things that we could say about our stay at Ambala Gardens that we don't really know where to start. We stayed with Nancy and Esa for 10 days and it was like staying with friends. They were wonderful hosts, always cheery and we enjoyed our post breakfast chats so much we almost forgot to get... In Dec 2007 my girlfriend and I stayed at the Ambala Lodge during our 8 month around the world holiday. The Cook Islands was our favourite place we stayed by a long way. This is obviously partly due to the amazing location but the fantastic accommodation and the friendliness/ helpfulness of Esa and Nancy made it a week we will... More

I recently spent a week at the Ambala Garden Lodge in the Cook Islands and my time in the Cook's was made all the more memorable by the hosts (Nancy & Esa) of Ambala Gardens and the postcard like setting of their bed and breakfast. There is clearly something special about sitting on their balcony overlooking the ocean while enjoying... More

My husband and I have just returned from Ambala Lodge in Rarotonga. The Lodge and Esa and Nancy, the owners totally exceeded any expectation that we had.
