I visited PEI to have a restful vacation and do some research on my ancestors who were some of the island's early settlers.. My husband and I were happy with our cozy room at Hilltop and looked forward each morning to a delicious, hearty breakfast . The Trowsdales treated us like friends; suggesting evening entertainment, giving us help with genealogical...

Thank you for your kind comments, Joan! It was indeed a pleasure to welcome you and Ron, and to share our knowledge of the history and early settlers of this area. We are glad that some of our suggestions helped you to do your research and to determine your own family roots. We do hope that our paths will cross...

We spent one night with Janice and Wayne and for our second PEI Tip to Tip bike tour they did not disappoint. Gracious hosts who open their home and make you feel comfortable. In the morning, a great breakfast and excellent conversation, you couldn't ask for better. A ride to a close resturant was just the thing for tired cyclists....

My brother, niece, and I cycled the Confederation Trail in July,2015, staying at Bed and Breakfasts along the way. This was our favourite, Wayne and Janice had also cycled the trail and were most helpful in their knowledge of the trail and local amenities along the way. They put on an amazing spread for breakfast. We hardly noticed the uphill...

Beautiful property, delicious breakfast and lovely hosts! The screened in gazebo was a lovely place to relax in the evening. It is only 3km from the Confederation trail. The only thing missing was an en-suite bathroom. I highly recommend this B&B.

Thank you for posting a review on our website and your positive remarks. In case anyone reading this review may think that we do not have an en suite bath, I believe it was the fact that there were three people travelling in your party, and you were in our 2-bedroom suite with the off-suite bath that was private for...

Beautiful, remodeled home with all the amenities. There are many choices for breakfast and different fresh muffins each day. Wayne and Janice have been running this B&B for many years, and are from the area. With that intimate knowledge they are full of many ideas for things to do and places to see.

We had picked this place to stay on our first night while on a cycling tip to tip trip on the confederation trail. We (a group of 4) had called Janice in March to secure a spot as there are not a lot of accommodations available at this end of the island. She had suggested the guest house which has...

This place is Amazing. My wife and I took our 10 year anniversary trip to Prince Edward Island (sans kidos) and were lucky enough to find Hilltop Acres B&B and Guest House. When we began our search we wanted to find a place that would give us a relaxing and private space that had the conveniences you’d find in the...

It just doesn't. At least for what I'm looking for. A totally secluded, beautifully maintained, lovingly hosted B&B on the western side of PEI. Janice and Wayne clearly have a vision for how to provide a service to travelers and they do everything they can to realize it. Added pluses: Wayne has great woodworking skills and Janice provides the best...

We spent four days in Charlottetown and decided to move out of that quaint capital into the countryside to the west. Hilltop B&B satisfied all our interests. A delightful couple own and run the lodging, Wayne and Janice, and keep this historic home in great condition. Both are well informed on the history and conditions of PEI, the potato industry,...

“Upstairs in the main house. They also have a guest house out back where a family had booked a few days for biking and touring. Coffee out back very relaxing. Breakfast very complete.”

“Suggest you stay a little longer as the area is filled with wonderful scenery. Janice serves a wonderful breakfast so take advantage of it. Ask them about the history of the house as they have lived there for awhile and they are very proud of the B & B”
