We arrived at Male by Seaplane and were quickly escorted to the Ozen lounge before taking the short speedboat trip to Ozen Madadhoo. On the jetty we were met by the very personable Blue who would be our butler for the duration of our holiday.
We had booked an earth Villa with pool. It’s probably personal taste Earth Villa or Wind Villa ( overwater) .After the quick check in Blue gave us an informative tour of the island by golf cart explaining how and where everything was. Blue was available via WhatsApp for any issues bookings dinner reservations etc.
On arrival at our Water Villa we initially thought quite nice, but realised that realistically the bathroom and WC areas were a little tired and really didn’t quite match the standard we expected with the room rate! Also our pool was situated mostly in the shade and beneath trees , so as expected leaves and insects are flying about as you would expect in tropical environments. We therefore decided paying additional upgrade to a Sunset Wind Villa with pool which suited us better. Both rooms are a good size but we felt the Water Villa was a bit newer.
The daily cleaning together with minibar stocking was always faultless.
The restaurants cater for many tastes as you’d expect and I think it unfair being overly critical but I would have liked having more simply cooked fish or prawns, but it’s my personal preference. We had a most enjoyable evening at the M6 restaurant which will remain in our minds for many a year, a real holiday experience, with good food and wine.
I must thank Ozen for the guide that accompanied us through Male airport. This is something that would make a big difference for many travelers as Male is pretty busy. The young man was extremely polite and patient and we certainly appreciated his care. Thank you.
If I’m asked wouldI return I feel at this price level I would like to see some new investment in the accommodations and a little more attention to detail with food in the restaurants. There are many islands in the Maldives to choose from and I’m no expert having visited only three but I felt a degree of improvement would help justify the high price. I found it extremely difficult choosing an island in the Indian Ocean.

Staying at the Ozen life madhoo as a family of four with two very small children has been an absolute pleasure! The resort, restaurants, food, villa were surpassed 5 star but what made our stay so memorable was the treatment of staff and the services they provided. Our butler and room keeper- Ayush and Raju - as being upgraded to the sunset villa was not enough, they both made sure our villa was baby proofed with a bottle steriliser, a stool for the l.o to reach the sink, extra plugs etc … they even organised cleaning and turn downs to suit our baby’s and our times. Our butler, Ayush would arranged our baby food to be dropped off to our room at times when it was difficult to leave the villa. He was always available via WhatsApp even on his day off he was reachable. They really made it comfortable and functional for us.
2. Restaurants and staff- my son is quite a shy boy especially in new environments but by the end of our stay he was looking out for some of the restaurant staff (Aahil). They were so loving, genuine and playful. Our youngest has just started weaning into solids so the restaurant manager ensured the chefs would make special puree foods and have it waiting for when we would come. Everything felt so bespoke and wholesome. One of the lovely ladies (I never got her name) even crocheted two stuffed animals that my kids sleep with every night since. Its also the very little things that makes a difference for example they remember how you like your eggs done, your kids prefer pancakes to waffles, my husband and I loved having a mix of fresh orange, carrot and apple juice for breakfast so they remembered this every morning.
This was just a few examples but there were so much more. I think it’s safe to say we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future!

We have been to Ozen life Madhoo for the sixth time and will come back for a seventh time.
The staff are incredibly friendly and will satisfy any wish. I would like to thank all the employees at Palms, JDV, Indocylon and Peking restaurant Shrijana, Daniel, Jalley, Shaisha, Moodi, Erin, Maria and all their names I forgot who made every day special with their great kind, fun and joy.
The food is just madness. You can choose between four different restaurants. Indian at Indocylon where Chef Aakash and Sunny conjure up madness menus, Chinese at Pekin, international cuisine/buffet at Palms Restaurant Thank you to Chefs Ramesh and Anil who spoiled us daily or the M6M underwater restaurant where Chef Ravinder created two special menus for us.
There are 2 free daily snorkel trips to nearby reefs (10-15 min boat ride) accompanied by the staff of Dolphin Base and/or the two marine biologists Nuria and Erin. These trips I can only recommend it is just great. At Dolphin Base you can also book diving trips, private tours and much more. With Amaty you have a great guide at the excursions with you I can only recommend everyone to book an excursion.
As always we stayed in a beach villa with pool which was cleaned every day, the beds were freshly made and the minibar was filled up. Everything was very clean, thank you to Mohamad who did a great job every day.
As always, our Buttler Anu has fulfilled all dates and wishes.
There is one criticism I would like to make.
Of course, guests want turquoise water and white sandy beach, but if seagrass is dug up with the excavator and thus the habitat and food for fish and turtles then that bothers me enormously.
So far we have always had a lot of fish in the sea in front of our villa sometimes rays and shark unfortunately not this time, because the seagrass is missing and there are also foils and bags with which the seabed was covered (so that no grass grows back) so that you do not walk on sand but on foil. In addition, an ugly floating barrier against garbage and seagrass was installed so that when looking out of the villa instead of out to sea you look directly at the pink/black swimming barrier.
All in all it was again a wonderful and relaxing holiday and we will come back. But perhaps you should ask yourself whether the protection of the underwater world is perhaps a bit more important than guests who complain because the water is not everywhere the color from the catalog.

We had the most perfect honeymoon at Ozen. The experience started right from being picked up at the airport and ushered to an air conditioned lounge area before a luxury speed boat to the island. The service was impeccable throughout. The food was sensational (IndoCeylon was our favourite) and beverage package very generous. We went on two scuba dives with our incredible instructor Taka and the snorkelling under our water villa was amazing. We saw octopus (including one that would hunt each morning directly under our viewing window in our villa), reef sharks, turtles, plentiful stingray and an abundance of small fish and micro fauna hiding in the coral. The rooms were spotless and our incredible butler Marzhan put together the perfect itinerary of activities and restaurant booking so we basically didn’t have to think about anything once we’d arrived. I also had a beautiful massage at the spa. Once factoring all of this in (vouchers to spend on dives or spa treatments, all beverages and food included), Ozen turned out to be amazing value for money. Highly recommend!

Overall a truly fantastic experience. The staff here are exceptional and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We stayed in a sunrise water villa and had good snorkeling on this side of the resort, we saw turtles, sting rays, eagle ray, black tip sharks and numerous species of fish. The rooms were spacious and well presented and 40 (our butler) fixed any issues within minutes, this system works very well. The indulgence package was great, we enjoyed our included massages and trips.
The highlight for us was the Traditions restaurant (both Peking and Indoceylon), the chefs were incredible and won several awards whilst we were there, the presentation and flavours were wonderful. The food in both was the best we had eaten outside of India or China . The staff in the restaurant were first rate and exceeded our expectations based on other resorts. Finally, we would like to single out: Samba, Aakash, Sunny, Erica, Ahil, Luham, Alok and Munday for making our holiday one of the best we have ever had.
In terms of conservation, the resort is excellent. Their work with coral, the general marine environment but particularly in their encouragement of sea grass for turtles and fish was outstanding. Sea grass on the beach was cleared up regularly, leaving the beaches looking clean and inviting. The marine biology team were excellent.

From the moment you land ozen staff are there to look after you, they have there own room for you to o wait for your speedboat 🚤 and then it's luxury all the way 😀 greeted with drums and staff , easy check in, our butler Blue took us for a tour of the island, booked us in to all the special ala carte restaurants for the nights requested, And available on WhatsApp for any changes or requests, we stayed in the earth villa with pool sunrise side a bit more of a breeze but more beach space, was spotless mini bar restocked every day, felt was better than the sunset side ( personally felt these 1s looked more enclosed as could probably do with a trim of trees & bushes) All the restaurants were amazing food & service outstanding, Alok the executive chef came to chat,almost every day, and is obviously guiding his team to perfection well done to all 👨🍳👨🍳 Special mention must go to our waitress Druga in the palms restaurant who went above & beyond to make our experience special every day 🙂 She is amazing and a credit to the team M6m is a must try Michelin standard restaurant Curry & Chinese also outstanding 👏 Spa was great. Our beloved Ozen. This was our third stay in Ozen and our sixth time in the Maldives (so there is something to compare with). We were here with 3 adults and 3 children. Ozen has the best swimming for children, clear azure water (it turns out it’s not like this everywhere in the Maldives), comfortable entry into the water (there are places where it’s really shallow and perfect for small children, there are places where it’s immediately deep), clean sand (they clean it several times per day), a comfortable distance from the villa to the water, and the vegetation is planted in such a way that there is a feeling of complete privacy (which is not the case in any hotel). Ozen has the best all-inclusive program: food in restaurants, one trip to an underwater restaurant, drinks, good expensive alcohol, ice cream, massages, snorkeling, excursions and rental of some water transport. In general, we did not deny ourselves anything and only paid for souvenirs and laundry. Ozen has wonderful Butler service, this time we had Mira, a Russian-speaking, very nice girl who responded as quickly as possible to all our requests and wishes (even on her day off). Ozen has good food; children can order from the adult menu (which is also not available everywhere in the Maldives). For the first time we came to the Maldives and Ozen in 2021, I want to say that if we had ended up in another hotel (where we later visited the Maldives), we most likely would not have returned to the Maldives. By the way, the persons have largely remained the same since 2021 and every time now we are greeted as our dearest loved ones. Compared to 2021, Ozen has become better: they renovated the villas, refreshed the interior, cleaned all the vegetation, planted flowers, built a new beach and bar area where various parties are held. Ozen also has its own comfortable lounge at the airport upon arrival and its own boats, so the transfer will be comfortable, a hotel employee will carefully escort you on departure and take your suitcases from the boat directly to the check-in counter.

We have just returned from an amazing 10-day stay at Ozen Life Maadhoo, and it exceeded every expectation. This resort came highly recommended by friends, and it did not disappoint.
Arrival We were greated off the boat on the jetty, wisked into their reception area where they took our shoes off, handed us a glass of champagne and given a foot massage., absolute bliss!!
Food & Dining The food was exceptional, with an impressive personal touch, including off-the-menu options for lunch and dinner. Every restaurant was fantastic, but the underwater dining experience is an absolute must.
Service Our butler, Anu, provided first-class service, showing an intuitive understanding of our preferences and seamlessly checking in throughout the day. This wasn’t luck—it was pure professionalism and attention to detail. Our housekeeper, Raju, was also exceptional. He was always available to ensure our villa was spotless and stocked with everything we needed. Even when I requested extra towels and amenities, he delivered them promptly and with a smile. Raju’s kindness and dedication truly added to our experience.
Accommodation & Facilities We stayed in a Sunrise Beach Villa, and it was perfect—spacious, luxurious, and steps from the beach. The facilities across the resort are excellent, and every staff member we encountered was friendly and welcoming.
Dining Highlights As food lovers, we were blown away by the options. The breakfast buffet offered everything imaginable, from freshly cooked eggs to an extensive array of salads. Lunch was equally impressive, with endless choices of salads and hot dishes. Peking, the Chinese restaurant, was the best Chinese meal we’ve ever had, and the Indian restaurant next door was also outstanding.
Management & Ambience The resort and general managers were consistently visible, engaging with guests and ensuring everything was perfect. The pristine white sand, crystal-clear waters, and thriving marine life added to the magic.
Unforgettable Marine Encounters Within hours of arrival, we spotted a ray 10 metres from our villa—a rare and beautiful sight. Throughout our stay, we saw rays, turtles, and even baby black-tip reef sharks in the shallows. A pod of dolphins visited daily, visible from the jetty.
The highlight of our trip was a jet ski excursion where we swam with a manta ray and encountered turtles—all within 45 minutes.
Final Thoughts Ozen Life Maadhoo is a dream destination. Its proximity to the airport (just 45 minutes by speedboat) makes it convenient, but the personalised service, stunning setting, and incredible experiences make it unforgettable.
We wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone planning a trip to the Maldives.
