A weekend getaway joined by friends exceeded all expectations. The Hall is set in spectacular gardens, in comfortable, welcoming surroundings and has a cosy ombiance with log fires and comfortable sofas. Beautifully prepared Cumbrian breakfast and an excellent three course dinner with a good selection of wines was enjoyed by all. A six mile walk in Hawkshead was recommended by...

This was our second visit to Low Graithwaite and this time we took 7 of our friends to celebrate a big birthday. We had a wonderful time, with an excellent host we enjoyed afternoon tea, evening meal and great breakfasts within luxury surroundings. It was great to have the Hall to ourselves , we felt very at home. We would...

Here for our friends birthday weekend. Arrived last night, lashing rain, miserable evening. Walked into this superb Hall with beautiful furnishings and incredible roaring fire. Immediately felt welcomed warm and relaxed. Our room is perfect, finest linen and bedding. Room is thoughtfully well decorated and furnished. Lovely breakfast and now relaxing in the sitting room. Met our lovely host, David,...

This is our second visit to Low Graithwaite and again had an excellent, very enjoyable relaxed experience in the lovely property and surroundings. Our first visit was 2016 with a group of 10 adults and our recent visit with 16 including some children and well behaved Labrador (staying in the cottage - the Labrador, not the children!) All of the...

The hall has lots of character, as did my room which was very comfortable. There is a grand living room in which to relax and enjoy afternoon tea. The host Amanda was very accommodating, such as by allowing me to park my van there the day before checking in, and printed off my wedding speech! It is ideal to book...

We stayed as a group of 8 people, for a long weekend. Absolutely first class in every way. The Hall is stunning, spacious yet cosy at the same time. Beautifully appointed rooms with gorgeous views, fab comfy beds and lovely toiletries, all set in beautiful grounds and gardens. Amanda is an amazing host. Breakfast was awesome, all locally produced or...

I visited Low Graythwaite with my partner and his sister (all the way from Australia) for a two night, mid week break. We were definitely not left disappointed... an amazing hidden gem and somewhere I will most definitely be revisiting. We stayed in the Cunsey and Grizedale rooms, both well equipped with tea, coffee, herbal teas, olive oil body washes,...

What a stunning place! The grounds are kept beautifully including a duck pond and chicken coop, a lovely decked seating area to enjoy the summer sun. The house itself has 5 good sized bedrooms tastefully decorated, a large but cosy feeling drawing room with a big open fire (great for games) and a gorgeous dining room with a big square...

From the moment we drove through the gardens we knew we would not be disappointed...These were beautifully maintained and the house was even better, decorated with style and taste. Our room was exceptionally spacious and comfortable. The breakfast room is sumptuous. Amanda takes pride in offering homemade delights: incredible fruit salad, deliciously cooked full English, sensational jams... Both David and...

My family plus six week old granddaughter had a perfect stay. We had three rooms for three nights. Amanda and David went out of their way to look after us and even recommended suitable walks with a pram. In addition to a beautiful house, the gardens looked stunning. We sat outside on the new garden furniture in the Spring sun...
