We are used to finding wonderful hotels in the Logis guide so it was no surprise to find Le Prieure continuing this theme. The usual French style of a very unimposing building with adequate but nothing special bedrooms elevated to a higher standard by magnificent food. We wished to stay two nights but unfortunately they were fully booked for the...

I have stayed here on many occasions over the past 15 years...great location for when visiting the WWI Somme Battlefields. Easy to find and easy to park. The rooms haven't changed much over the years but look a little sad and neglected. The restaurant was nearly empty when I visited with my son in July but I had to go...

This is the second time that we have stayed here - it's very conveniently placed for attending First World War remembrances. The rooms are what you's expect from a country hotel: comfortable and clean. There is no air conditioning so be prepared to sleep with the windows open in summer. The staff are all very friendly, and keen to be...

We stayed for four nights at the Le Prieure as part of a group on a Somme tour for which the location is excellent and we had a very comfortable rear facing room on the first floor. But some people in the group found the front facing rooms over the road were quite noisy. The staff were helpful, the bar...

This part of France was devastated in WWI and does not have the charm of much of France, hence limited good hotel and dining options, but Le Prieuré tries hard despite having a rather brutal external aspect and tired rooms. This is however made up for to a great extent by personable staff and an excellent menu. Breakfast is the...

We stayed for two nights with friends from our walking group and we were looked after very well. There was a spectacular storm during the afternoon that knocked out all electrical supply to the whole area (including the town of Peronne) for about 4 hours and the power didn't return until nearly 7.30 pm. Despite this the staff remained cheery...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights to break our journey south and also to meet up with friends and visit P'tit train de la Haute Somme. The room was very nice and the bed a very comfortable King size. The bathroom was clean but the shower was in the bath and I had a problem getting in and...

The third visit in 5 years visiting the WW1 Battlefields. The rooms are definitely starting to look a little tired now, the rooms facing the back have a nice outlook, however the large commercial bakery next door is quite noisy from 5'ish if you have the window open at night. The toilet is very odd and claustrophobic, and as an...

This was our last hotel on our motorbike trip (France and Switzerland). Was happy that we stayed here for our last night, after getting changed and freshening up we went to the bar to order drinks, very pretty lounge, when we was all ready to eat entered the dining room, again very pretty, excellent food with complimentary water, wine and...

The hotel is on a main road and in the countryside so nothing in the immediate area you can walk to. This should be mentioned in the advert. The reception, dining room and lounge are very attractive. The bedroom was a little small but OK for what we wanted. The rooms on the front of the hotel do have the...
