Stayed for 2 nights at the end of our 25th wedding anniv trip to tassie. Lovely cottage. Had wood fire but not enough starter sticks for 2 nights. Also took a long time to heat cottage. Spa was nice but took forever to fill. Bed was comfy but only 1 flat pillow each. Had breakfast provisions with 6 eggs and...

After travelling down from Devonport after getting off the Spirit of Tasmania at 6.30am, and sightseeing all the way down, the cottage was very relaxing and a sight for tired eyes. We stayed in the Emily Cottage which we found was well catered for, breakfast included, wood fire & spa most inviting. Have recommended to family and friends what a great...

This cottage was spotless, thoughtful and full of good vibes. The sounds of the river was beautiful at night time too... The owners were very helpful and assisted us with all of our requests. They did however forget to leave matches for the fire so it was lucky we had a lighter in the car! We also thought 2 bits...

Crabtree River Cottages are in a beautiful location and we were looking forward to staying. We arrived the night before a big snow dump on Hobart, so it was quite cold. We were rewarded with a snow covered landscape the next morning. However, we let our hosts know we were arriving a bit late..no problem, the door would be left...

We're so sorry to hear you arrived cold and unloved. The combination of electric heating, electric blankets, and a wood fire all set up and ready to just add a match means that the cottages heat up very quickly, and most guests really enjoy the romance and fun of lighting their own fire. Sounds like you may have been better...

We just spent 3 nights in the Eliza cottage. It was everything we had hoped for a beautiful relaxing private place to stay while we explored the southern area of tas. The cottage was well appointed , the fireplace got a lot of use as did the spa and the evenings overlooking the river were just a lovely I would...

Only one night spent here, but would gladly go back and use a home away from home when touring the huon valley again. Stayed in the loft, just stunning. Lovely bath, all amenities catered for, plus friendly owners. Thanks.

Stayed in the Eliza House a few weeks back for my wife's 30th birthday:) It was a relaxing 2 day retreat and we both really enjoyed our time there. The house is nice and quiet (except for the soothing sound of the stream out front) private, very clean and cosy inside. A good size for a couples stay, we spent...

Stayed at The Loft here and loved the quietness and tranquility. Lovely loft style apartment, and well appointed. Very cosy and welcoming. Great comfy bed ! Huge bathroom! You can cook in the kitchenette and enjoy the meal on the balcony. We enjoyed a platter of goodies, watched the sunset, looked at the stars for hours and enjoyed the quiet....

What a wonderful spot, right beside the river. Talk about relaxing! We had a great two days staying in the Huon Valley and enjoyed the relaxation the cottage provided, and enjoyed the wood fire too! Beautiful cottage, and provisions for a lovely breakfast all left for us

We loved our stay here. Emily cottage was beautiful, the log fire was great on the cold nights and the location was stunning. We also enjoyed the personal touches of bacon and eggs in the fridge for our breakfast and a lovely drop of port to enjoy by the fire at night. Highly recommended!

“Eliza potentially could be quieter than Emily though the dozen or so cars that pass could hardly bother anyone. I did like the look of the fireplace in Emily so really both are win/win.”
