We have visited this lovely hotel since 2008. I would recommend this hotel to couples and families with children. Rooms are old but they are really clean. We had a room in corner and had a view towards end of valley. So you will have sunshine all day. Menus are really with high quality. Food raw materials are from highest quality. You wont be disappointed visiting restaurant in breakfast, afternoon ”jausen” or dinner. Allways food with high quality and served by really friendly staff. You will find near hotel horse farm, open swimming pool with outdoor activities and near by is really nice play ground for small children beside river. Every village beside river have a large variety activities for all ages.
The restaurant has a well deserved reputation as one of the top locations in the area. I recommend it for special evenings and occasions. We visited for a Saturday night "date night." Everything on the menu looked good, but we selected the "Sharing Menu" which provided 5 courses. Altogether, a great experience.
This is a real gem. A small, boutique hotel in the wonderful village Hippach. We loved the location, many of the nearby villages are much more touristy (especially Mayerhofen). Hippach is a short bike ride away from the ski lifts and tourist centres, but it’s far enough away to enjoy the quaint village and to absorb the stunning views in peace. (The Hotel rents out e-bikes which are really handy! There’re miles of cycle path along a stream - with the backdrop of the alps, heaven on earth). The hotel staff (especially Nora) bend over backwards to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The food is very good, and plentiful. We stayed half board and enjoyed the dinners (one night we got to choose our courses, the other night was chef’s surprise.) At dinner there are three courses, plus a few amuse bouche from the chef, which were especially good. We opted to take the larger room, with a pull out sofa bed and a circular balcony. The room was incredible! Spacious and comfortable, and with the most beautiful panoramic views from the balcony. Some head’s up: It’s a long journey by public transport from Innsbruck to Hippach, you need to change twice. We decided to take a taxi, which was €126 from Innsbruck train station and €140 from the hotel to Innsbruck airport. The hotel doesn’t have aircon, it was fine with the windows open as there’s wonderful mountain air, but if you sleep with windows closed (like me), it can get stuffy in August. There aren’t black out curtains, bring an eye mask if light bothers you. Also, make sure to tell them if you’re arriving late, as a small boutique hotel, they don’t have people at the front desk late at night. I’m already dying to return. Highly recommend. …
We spent a week at the hotel half-board and every evening the food was amazing with impeccable and friendly service. The room was great, breakfast was a fabulous buffet and the dinners were superb. Great Austrian wine selection and the design led surroundings added to the overall experience.
We are just back from dinner at the Sieghard restaurant and all fired up about the quality of the experience. Everything was perfect: from the intimate atmosphere, great, cosy design of the place, well chosen music, warm and attentive service. And then the food was unparalleled in what I have tried in Austria. The amuse bouche was a creme brûlée de foie gras - tasty and original. We chose a wild garlic cream soup (superior to any garlic soup tried before, both in looks and taste!). The main course needs to be commended: both the beef and the lamb rack were nothing short of perfect. Last, the lemongrass pana cotta with coconut ice cream made for a wonderful finish to a lovely evening! Definitely, not to miss when you are in the area.
Absolutely fantastic. excellent accommodation. Internet very good. Warm room and friendly, cleaning every day. Staff very welcoming. About the restaurant? The chef is phenomenal. He left us speechless. It is an exceptional culinary experience. I attach a few photos anyway can not express the incredible quality of food. Absolutley great atmosphere !!!
I did not stay in the hotel. We were staying in Mayrhofen and wanted to try a high end restaurant in the area so decided on Sieghard hotel restaurant. We were not disappointed. We had the tasting menu with selected wine courses and it was fantastic. We eat 2-3 times per year in high end restaurants all over the world - including California, New York, Germany, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, etc. and we rank this among the very best we have had. The food was well prepared, well presented, the service is outstanding, and we love the focus on high quality local ingredients and building a gourmet table on the Tirolian tradition and ingredients (mostly). So you had a feeling you were in the Tirol Alps - not in Copenhagen or San Francisco, which we really appreciated. Also, strongly suggest adding the wines by the glass - a great opportunity to taste what Austrian wines are all about. You won't be disappointed! Austria is the sleeper of great wines. They are not well known or trendy (for now) but they have some really wonderful and different wines to try. the service was great and the prices for what you get as compared to other countries is a great value. Will come back.…
Decision to choose the Sieghard Hotel was one of the best in my life. The hotel is located in very peaceful and picturesque village which is just 5 minutes by skibus from quite big Mayrhofen Ski Resort and around 20 km from Hintertuxer glacier where we can ski even in summer! The hotel has absolutely fantastic restaurant with increadible food. Everything what we ate was great and I'm wondering when Sieghard Restaurant will appear in Michelin catalog. If you like spend few minutes longer celebrating the breakfeast you will be absolutely satisfied due to various types of cereals, almonds, dried fruits, breads, cheeses, hams, juices, coffees, etc. Moreover, the service in the hotel is on the top level. Sauna is brand new and we visited this place everyday during our 7-days holidays. The Wi-Fi conection was very good in whole hotel and was for free, I fully recommend this hotel to couples and families. You will not regret!…
Our 5th visit to the Zillertal - and so glad we have found this hotel - it is top of our list now! The food is totally amazing - the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, speak excellent English, couldn't do enough to ensure that our stay was exceptional. A bonus to be able to borrow the hotel bicycles, the rooms very comfortable and the cleanliness 10/10. We are already planning a Winter visit just 3 weeks after our return! Thank you to all staff - a very memorable stay.
This is perhaps an unlikely location for a restaurant that serves "quail three ways" as an amuse-bouche (and does so competently), but that doesn't detract from the fact that Sieghard's is a little gem of a place - perhaps slightly quaint, but with very friendly service and excellent food. Also exceptionally good value for money.
