We arrived late at night (we let them know in advance) and were quickly rung in and guided to our rooms. I cannot imagine a more beautiful setting. We expected to awake to a nice view but at night it was spectacular as well. Vera and her staff really understand hospitality. We felt we were greeted like old friends and...

The facility is simple, clean and with privileged location. Its a great place to take a rest and isolate of the...

Coming to Vista Atenas from the hot & steamy Pacific, I'd thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Sadie, the concierge, and Vera the owner, both greeted me warmly, giving check-in, and later my stay, a lovely personal touch. My room was beautiful--orange walls trimmed with brown hardwood, purple drapes, white papermoon lighting, folk art headboards, and generous windows. Of...

We had a reunion of 4 couples for a week at Vista Athenas. Our host and her staff did everything to make our stay successful. We especially liked the "common room" where we could all gather together, not only for breakfast, but for evening meals as well. The Vista is spectacular. The accommodations comfortable, but modest and reasonably priced. We...

4 couples came to Costa Rica from the US to visit. They used Vista Atenas as a base while they were here for a week. Quiet, relaxing, wonderful more than 180 degree view. Clean rooms with a delicious breakfast included every morning. Vera, the owner, lives on site & is available for advice whenever needed. We even were able to...

Average room but you don't go to Atenas for the room. Great breakfast and lovely view from the well kept grounds and pool. The owner is well versed on the area and gives great suggestions on what to see and do while in the Atenas area

My wife and I stayed there in 2013 for about 2 months. I know I know it is kind of late to write a review but we had such an amazing time there that if I don't write a review, I feel ungrateful. What can I say, the view is breath taking, rooms are clean and comfortable and the owner...

Vista Atenas is a real gem in Costa Rica. We live in San Jose so have traveled all over the country and this B&B is definitely a memorable one. The rooms were adorable and so comfortable. Breakfast was really delicious especially when served while looking at the gorgeous green valley below you. The view at night was simply breathtaking. We...

Good location if you arrive from the airport and do not want to enter San Jose but continue your trip the next day. A great view and a very quiet area. Clean swimming pool. Breakfast only at 8am (could be earlier). Not all members of staff speak english.

I stay at Vista Atenas bed and breakfast since 2 days and I definitely love it! Close to town of Atenas, the place is on the mountain that makes it cool during the night, with a little breeze crossing the whole area. Vista Atenas has a very friendly staff, always ready and willing to help. It is surrounded by the...
