We stayed at Camp Chobe in late September 2016, for 3 fabulous memorable nights. The position of our elevated spacious, tastefully decorated tent (no 10) was just great to watch the sunrise & sunset over the mighty Chobe River, a wonderful start & end to each day. Gordon, the manager, was most helpful if needed as were all the staff....

Nice campground with a beautiful view over the river bed. As we arrived we saw about 25 elefants going past the camp towards the water. The toilets and the water in the shower have a funny smell. Nice bar area with very slow Internet, depending on size of people online. Someone either from inside or the nearby village was in...

I am glad you enjoyed Camp Chobe. The campsite belong to the conservancy and because of problems we decided to help and to up lift the campsite. I am sorry about the stealing it is a problem lately, but lucky with the help of the conservancy and the police they caught the thieves and they are now behind bars.

Situated meters from the Chobe river. Otters swimming every morning. Thousands of zebras eating on the plains in front of us. Wild dog, hyena, elephant buffalo walking the plains. Bird life that will blow your mind. Thousands of pelicans, open bills, jacanas, sandpipers and more. It is paradise. Extremely hospitable hosts. Fantastic bar and restaurant. Camp facilities are spotless with...

I have to say in advance that our standards dropped a bit when we arrived here because we just came from Zimbabwe. That been said, we really loved it here! The campsite is separate from the camp and really spacious with private ablutions. We also did a sunset boat safari which was great as well. Well organized, lovely scenery and...

I really did enjoy my overnight stay in this permanent tent on stilts with eco chic decor. The shower had good pressure and piping hot. The sunrise was simply stunning. The bar is also very welcoming. I highly recommend this place

Thought this would be a good way to see Chobe, but we were disappointed on many fronts. There were all kinds of pesky issues that detracted from our stay--the solar lights in the units that provide minimal illumination, the lack of power outlets, the wifty wifi, the safe without batteries, the wobbly pool deck boards, the varying food temperatures. The...

Dear Jeannine, again as said to you in my mail, I am sorry. About the issue at the border again as I said before this was a new border official looking for easy cash. About the wifi, TIA and it is very expensive for us to have wifi in the bush. Did you visit Africa to spend all your time...

We stayed 2 nights at Camp Chobe and totally enjoyed the stunning location along the river bank with great views of game and sights towards Botswana. The tents are lovely with a wooden floor, great shower, very comfy bed with mosquito net and a nice terrace overlooking the river banks. Water was very low and we probably enjoyed one of...

My husband and I camped at Camp Chobe for 4 nights and it was fantastic! Norman, the manager and Lucy, who works at reception, are two of the nicest young people you will ever meet. The campsite is right on the river and you can see Elephants coming down for a drink from the Botswana side. The camp is managed...

Dear Yvonne Thank you for your review, I am glad you enjoyed Camp Chobe and the campsite and the staff. I am very sorry to hear about the hunters, but I am glad you have brought this to my attention. I will print this and show it to Ministry of Tourism and the local Conservancy. If you have more to...

This was our last stop in Namibia before heading into Botswana, and it was the perfect finish for a wonderful adventure. We stayed 2 nights in a tented chalet. The chalet was powered by solar, so the lighting was a little dim. The hot water was also solar heated but we had plenty of hot water even after a cold...

Location is excellent. Very few lodges in the entire region can match the game viewing and vistas of this lodge. Friendly, happy, attentive staff; good food. We had a spacious room with 270 deg water views (May - the Chobe plains were flooded). The boat cruise is a must. You can bash around in the Chobe game park in your...
