We stayed over at Caprivi Houseboat safaris in May 17 for 3 nights. We stayed in one of 5 chalets and the stay included breakfast. The lodge is right on the Zambezi river and the chalets are right on the river's edge. The lodge also has 2 or 3 camping stands which seemed popular and is known for its houseboat...

A place to stay in for young and old safari lovers. A good staging place for those who want to take a day trip to Victoria Falls. Access to the river is excellent and with expert fishing guides one can have an excellent tiger fishing experience.

We found this place by accident - just following the sign to go and have a look at what was on offer in the way of houseboats. And we found a camp with varying types of accommodation from camping to private canvas cabins right on the river - we stayed one night and enjoyed a bring and braai with the...

The Caprivi Houseboat Safaris has spacious and shady campsites with nice and clean showers/toilet and several gas stoves for cooking. The location on the Zambesi River is wonderful, the entire place is extremely clean and the atmosphere at the common area/bar is very chilled. The manager Rachelle and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The chalet has been in a good spot but the hotel is a little outside town. Not easy to go in town without own car. Chalet has been a bit older with some holes in the mosquito net. Breakfast was good and staff super nice. I would usually give four stars but considering that we paid 90€ per night only...

Thank you for your visit. We are not advertised as being in town. It is clearly stated so on websites. If need be, we will always try and assist. Our chalets are constantly being looked after. If there were any holes, you were more than welcome to point out the problem and it would have been remedied immediately. Apart from...

Set not far off the Ngoma - Katima main highway and a short distance out of town, this a wonderful lodge offering peace and quiet whilst overlooking the Zambezi. Rooms are large and airy with an open air bathroom. Pleasant verandah enabling you to view the river from the privacy of room as well. Kurt (owner/manager) is an excellent host....

A nice place in the middle of nature and directly at the river. Did a real good boats tour from there. Good breakfast and very good dinner - we got specially prepared meals for vegetarians! Helpful and friendly hosts. Was it a chalet or a tent? It doesn't matter, it was an interesting feeling to be so close to the...

This place is like a dream. The setting, the staff, the rooms transport you to a different world. Going to bed to the sound of hippos in the river, and waking up to so many different bird sounds! Breakfast is delicious, and dinner can be had there as well, although the location is great because the town of Katima Mulilo...

Advertised as a 'chalet' but actually a tent which we found ripped and the side walls constructed of reeds which were broken and ant eaten and the curtain bamboo blinds broken. The person who met us on arrival was un-knowledgeable and disinterested.. The front of the tent was piled high with old thatching grass limiting the view of the river....

Hi Robyn We were sad upon reading your review. We still regard our units as chalets, as they are built on a wooden frame and only have a canvas roof, as that is a lot cleaner than a thatched roof. The bamboo blinds were left after closing the opening on the sides with shade-netting to reduce the chance of mosquitoes...
